i have a 93 saturn SL stick shift. i was told that the motor is korean. i believe GM made it but from my understanding Gm had different timeframes in which they were trusted and when they werent trusted. Does anybody know anything about this motor? is it american? asian motor? also i want to know what is the life expectancy of the motor. i know that if i maintain it on a regular basis it would last longer but i jus want to know the average motorlife of this car. Thanks!

Not sure who made it but mine had a problem because the hole for oil lubrication of the timing chain was too small. It got blocked and the timing chain broke and took the case out with it.
