I want to get a tattoo but I have quite a few "beauty marks". Will the ink colour change when you are tattooed over a mole?

Never tattoo over moles. If they change you would not know- and that could mean some serious consequences- like skin cancer.

Although moles are usually benign and we go through life ignoring them, there is always the possibility that a mole could serve as an indicator of cancer. This makes the preservation of a mole important. One of the ways a mole can indicate a problem is by changing color. If it has been tattooed over with pigment, it may hinder your ability to spot any color differences. For your safety, it is best that a mole not be tattooed over.
However, a mole can be tattooed around. Sometimes moles are even incorporated purposely into the design to serve an artistic purpose. Be sure to keep an eye on your mole for any changes in size or color, and see a doctor immediately if it does.

As others have said, tattooers won't usually go over it. If any changes occur to the mole you wouldn't be aware of them, which might conceal cancer, et cetera.

Have the mole removed before tattooing the area.

I would get it around the mole or have mole removed - I doubt the ink will hold, plus mole can grow or change shape

you shouldn't get a tattoo over a mole. and reputable tattoo artists won't do it. because of the increased potential for raised moles to become skin cancer it is better if they are not tattooed over. freckles are a different story and can be tattooed over. if you are unsure you should consult your doctor.

Yeah, it's okay. But I go around if possible. Hard to make a straight line over one. So you position your stencil accordingly.
