No, fruit is not bad for you - in fact, it's one of the best things you can eat. The only problem is, it's very easy to eat too much - and that'd be a problem.
Carbs are high in starches, and those tend to digest more slowly, thus keeping your blood glucose at a high level for a prolonged period of time. Plus, they usually taste real good - think "donuts, 'tater chips, cake, cookies..." so it's also real easy to eat way too much of them.
Carbs are NOT bad for you - eating too many carbs is the problem.
Meat is also not bad for you - and again, the same thing applies - too much meat IS bad for you. Although an eight-ounce steak is expected by almost everyone to be a reasonable serving, the truth is a three-ounce piece of steak is one serving. That's a piece an inch thick and about the size of the palm of your hand. I know, it'll seem tiny compared to what you're used to. But that really is a proper serving of beef. So you'll want to be sure to have a good helping of vegitables and a serving of baked potato (or a serving of rice, or a nice dinner roll) with that steak to make a full meal. And if you pay attention to the proper serving size, you will have room for dessert and not have to feel guilty about it...just don't eat the whole dang pie all by yourself!

The body needs carbs to operate efficiently, so the idea that all carbs are bad is nonsense.
There is a thing called the Glycemic Index which indicates how quickly your body turns carbs into glucose (blood sugar). The higher on the index, the faster the conversion. Pure table sugar is 100, a baked white potato is about 96 and most veggies are between 25 and 45. Fruits vary in the index, but the more fiber the fruit contains the better because fiber slows down the conversion process. Of course breads, cereals and cookies are also included and again, the more fiber and the less added sugar, the better.

i've got faith the solid carbs they are refering to are the complicated carbs: greens, pastas, oatmeal, rice, wholegrains, wheat; which launch the glucose slowly into the physique. The undesirable carbs are the undemanding carbs, launch glucose immediately and if all your potential reserves are finished or your now not doing a piece out each time quickly then the glucose will flip into fat. i.e. chocolate, junkfoods, sugars, muffins, honey culmination additionally are straight forward carbs yet they are good straight forward carbs. So eat a sort of previous to a piece out (some million-2 hours) to help top off your potential reserves. good good fortune and practice difficult

In my opinion, it's just the latest example of people trying to blame the food instead of blaming their own eating habits. It's easier to say "carbs are the enemy" than admit they're eating too much. Almost any kind of food can be good for you in moderation and bad in excess. The recent low-carb fad diets may take off a few pounds, but they're bad for the liver, kidneys, and colon. A balanced diet with items from all of the basic food groups in moderation is still the healthiest way to eat.

Fruit contains Fructose which in the body turns into pure sugar. Fruit is good in moderation and not to eat a lot of it.
Certain carbs if eaten a lot causes the sugar in your blood to spike which in turn releases a lot of insulin to combat the effects of the sugar, this causes you to feel hungry quicker and creates hunger pangs, which cause people to overeat when they really aren't hungry. Some people react badly to carbs and become "Carbohydrate addicts" Good complex carbs such as products made with Whole Wheat burn slower which does not cause your sugar to spike it releases it slowly and therefore you feel full longer.
Carbs should never be cut out completely such as the atkins diet because you need a certain amount of carbs in order to promote healthy brain function.

Theres nothing wrong with carbs, you'll be surprised what foods have carbs, even fruit, complex carbs are the problem, potatoes, rice, pasta, bread, if too many are eaten when eaten with protein or too many hidden fats, they don't get digested and weight is put on,as well as clogging up the system. You have to get the balance right.
A not so good carb is white bread,if you do eat it,swap it for wholemeal, white bread can make you bloated.

there is nothing bad about carbs. They are what give you energy. You just need to limit how many you take in and where they come from. Natural choices like fruit and veggies are good places to get carbs!
