Hi,
That's a great question. It all depends what is in their contract.
Some drivers get 2%, some may get even 5 - 10%. Maybe more. So it all depends what is in their contract to as of how much percentage they get paid for their merchandise.

According to an article I read a while back, Sterling Marlin sued his former car owner for salary he was owed for the remainder of the year. This amounted to $1.2 million in salary, 45% of race winnings, and 33% of souvenir sales.
I am guessing this is for souvenir sales made at the track, but I am sure that Gordon has similar marketing deals set up with the diecast manufacturers. He probably gets about 33% of their profit dollars. They probably charge the retailer around $10 for it and it probably cost them about $1 to manufacture it and get it to the US. I think about $3 went into Jeff's pocket for your purchase. Or, more likely into a trust set up to save him some tax dollars.

it depends on the contract he has and what car it is. The contract claus for merhandise % is a well kept secret but has been reported as around 33%. The link below mentions the cut Sterling Marlin and Joe Nemechek.

Most drivers have contracts that give them a percentage of the gross sales. This could be from 10 to 25 percent.
As to the exact amount for each driver is up to their business agents.
