Check with your employers for this year. Legally, they have till Jan 31 to put them together and send them out in the mail, but they might be able to get your out early. But check with them to see.

They don't have to get the W-2s to you until January 31st, so it's unlikely that they'll be ready before January 7th. You'll just have to file after school starts. Make sure you get the following done before you leave for school:

1) Contact each employer and make sure they have your college address so they can mail the W-2s to you.

2) Pick up any tax forms you'll need (usually you can get them at a library). This is especially important if you're going out of state to go to college.

Then, starting around the end of January when you're at college, wait for your W-2s to show up in the mail. Once they all arrive, go ahead and file your taxes. If you don't have them by the middle of February, call the employer and ask about your tax forms. Good luck!

Probably not, but you can ask your employers - the chances of all three having them ready by 1/7 is very unlikely. They have until the end of January to distribute them.

Either make sure they have your college address to send them to you there, or if your parents or someone else you know well will be at your current address, ask them to forward them to you.

If your payroll statements have year to date figures on them, you can us that as a substitute to do your return then it will be ready to go when your W-2s arrive. Your employers have no obligation to get them to you before the end of January and will most likely issue them when they normally do. If they use a payroll service, they will come when the service sends them out.

save you last paystubs from each job, or just come back home in feb. for a weekend visit and do it then, after they call you and say they all arrived
