I ordered a phone from ebay and paid $18.00 for shipping , this company I bought it through pride themselve's on there fast shipping, I have emailed them to see if there was a problem with my address and I get no response, It hasnt been to long of a wait where Im getting worried just yet but this place is located in the US about 7 hours away from me, So my question is What Do you think is a reasonable waiting period for an item to be shipped and when is it appropriate to leave negative feedback, by the way I payed through pay pal with my credit card so there not waiting for a check to clear or anything like that!

and I am aware of this being in the wrong catagoery but I know a lot of parents use Ebay and I thought I get more responses here, thanks

eBay has a prescribed amount of time you have to wait before you can file a complaint. I am not sure what it is offhand, but a couple weeks at least.
Glad to hear you used paypal, as they will back you up too!

Anything longer than 10 days I would contact Ebay on. I ebay all of the time and most items I receive within 5 days. I ship all my items the day I receive payment. If the seller will not respond to you then contact Ebay directly. They have a online chat available at the site. Did you check the sellers feedback history before you ordered? Good luck!

You didn't say how long you have been waiting. If you paid for priority shipping,it shouldn't take longer than 2 or 3 days. If you paid for parcel post ,it might take up to 10 days.
Fed Ex and UPS sometimes takes 5 to 11 days.
If you do not get your phone by then,I would be concerned. Remember ,it all depends on what type of service you wanted, and faster service cost more.If you need the product right away, pay for a faster shipping service like Express Mail.

I have both bought and sold mant things on Ebay. As a seller, I would always ship an item as soon as payment cleared. If they used Paypal and payed immediately, I would ship the next day. If they payed me late, like say waited a week or so after the auction ended, I would wait to ship their item until a week after that. The way I saw it was, if they made me wait for my money I was going to make them wait for their item. As a buyer, if my payment was recieved immeditely, there is no reason why it should take anymore than a week to a week and a half to get my item. I would file an unrecieved item strike against them both through Ebay and Paypal. Paypal gives you like two weeks or something and if you still don't recieve your item, thy'll give you your money back.

I've gotten an item from England (I'm in Southern California) in three days and I've gotten an item from Los Angeles (less than an hour from my house!) in ten days!! Basically, it all depends on their method of shipping and how soon they actually mail the item. I usually give it a full two weeks before I follow up with the seller. I've been buying on Ebay for years and I've only had two occasions where I had to follow up and both were resolved quickly. $18 is an awful lot for standard shipping, though.

Wow - your spelling is horrendous.

You didn't say how long you've been waiting for the phone. $18 in shipping is a ton of money - I would have expected overnight delivery for that.

Before leaving negative feedback, go to Paypal and file a claim that you haven't received the merchandise. This will prevent the seller from accessing your payment until they respond with the status of the item.

Then, if you are still unhappy with the delivery time, you can give the seller a neutral or negative feedback with details.

Even though they are so close, give them a couple weeks. Also, check their feedback rating now. Has there been lots of negative feedback the last few days? If so, they may have skipped town. You can report the problem to EBay and paypal, but I think you have to wait 30 days until the auction end to do that.

they should have stated how long shipping would take in the description of the item. If it takes over 2 weeks it would probably be wise to file a non-recieved item complaint with ebay. When it comes down to it, if you still don't recieve you item, you will get a refund from paypal unless the company can prove that they shipped your item to you.

Best of luck and I hope you get your phone!

The PO takes 3-5 days to move anything; and depending on the weight of the item, it's probably not going first class but priority, so 3-4 days.
