Been there, done that and I still sometimes get down when I feel that I'm in a rut. How do I get out of it? I begin working on one of my future goals which is to land my dream job. It can get tedious at times but at the end of the day, you'll feel better about accomplishing something that you like. Don't let the money issue stop you either. I moved from PA to DC by Greyhound with only 200.00 to my name and I made it with my own place, good job, etc...yeah it was a tough road but its so worth it now. But you have a better chance since you're already in college. Try transferring to a location that you find extremely interesting, maybe go to a college overseas. Just keep your eye on the prize and have faith. You only have one life.

I know the feeling. I want to make a move too. You got to plan ahead. You don't want to end up at a new place and not have enough money for all your new expenses. If you can stick it out until you are in a better position financially, then do that. Or, if you feel confident about getting a job again right away when you move then consider going earlier. Either way, plan a bit ahead and think about all the expenses you will have and be ready for them. Hope you will be happy again soon in a new place!

Aw hon. If you're working at a 7-11 in a crime ridden neighborhood and going to a college that apparently doesn't teach you the difference between to and too, then maybe you should start trying to look at transfers and new apartments.

But I suspect you probably have a mediocre job in a suburb and go to a respectable college. So you should probably just tough it out. Getting a fun hobby will help you deal better, and remember; sometimes life just sucks.

Step one would be to discover the source of your unhappiness. If you move now you may find a new area, college, job, town and all, but still find that you are not satisfied or happy. Seek counseling to help you discover why you feel depressed. Once that is resolved, you can make a choice about where you would like to live. Good Luck.

if you are depressed, don't make a major life decision.

instead, consider your school counselor, or see your doctor to talk about treatment or what you can do to improve.

after you have taken steps to improve the depression, then make a decision.

im sorry you are suffering. please get some help. there are many resources for help out there... hugs
