Help! Current weather in Puerto Vallarta? Anyone live there or just been?

Question

I realize this is the rainy season for PVR but I've been checking the 7-day forcast for the past month and everyday its shown clouds and rain.

Is there someone who LIVES there or who has just BEEN there recently that can tell me if the sun does shine?

I'm going on October 2nd and hoping for some sun!!

Hello. I live in Jalisco state (same that Puerto Vallarta).
I'm answering from here. It is fall already and we are in a suny day. Rigth now it is not too warm. On the time you are coming it is going to be great. Besides, even you may have a little rain in october, we are in the tropic; it means the rainning season is SUMMER, no fall, and you can have one strong storm at nigth and the day is going to be clear. Remember, in our latitude, summer is rain, fall is less probably it rains, winter and spring are the most dry seasons.

I 've added a link to check the meteo stations at Jalisco state. Unfortunatelly, Puerto Vallarta has no station yet, but you may check the closest to the sea.

Puerto Vallarta is located in the limits to Nayarit state, in the Bahía de Banderas ("Flags bay"). Nuevo Vallarta, is in the side of Nayarit; and there is one meteo station in the area that is already working. This is rigth in Vallarta area (Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco or Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit). The link is the next. Those web sites are in spanish, temperature is in celsius, rain is in milimeters; you must change them into farenheit and inches.

I was in Puerto Vallarta in June. Before I left home I checked the 7 day forecast and it showed the same thing, clouds and rain. Since this is the rainy season I think they post this same forecast for at least four months. When I arrived it was sunny, hot and very humid. Not one drop of rain for the week I was there.

I'm sure rain or shine you will enjoy Puerto Vallarta. Have a great trip and enjoy.

October is the end of the rainy season - went there last year -
the weather was great!!! Not too hot, no rain at all. Nov. 2 is the beginning of the tourist season - the weather is pretty much SUN SUN SUN (was there last week of Oct. - 1st week
of NOV.) good luck - also....went during the rainy season once - Sun & warm rain - didn-t last long at all - kinda refreshing

I was just there for two weeks at the begining of September and it is beautiful.. It is really hot during the day about 35 degrees C. and during the night its about 27 but very humid. Also at about 7pm it sometimes begins to rain this usually lasts for an hour or two. Only once during our stay was the rain really bad. Other wise it is beautiful right now. And during the day is awesome! Have Fun!
