Are ghosts are really demons? Are psychics evil?

Question

How come that it's mostly the innocent children that can see them (ghosts)?

I used to be able to hear things others couldn't as a child, and sometimes is still have precognitive 'fits'. I even get stray bits of information, like the names of murderers the poice are trying to find. I've seen 'snapshot' images of other peoples thoughts too.

Why do Abrahamic religions brand something that comes quite naturally to me and mine as coming from the devil? How can just 'knowing' the outcome of an event be the work of Satan? I didn't ask for this, it's useless and makes no difference to my life. I don't consort with anything supernatural, but still Ithese things happen.

In case you ask, I have no psychiatric problems, and I have witnesses to the precognition and some other things.

I'm nearly forty, and I still see and hear 'stuff'. I've even done it in front of witnesses. I'm discussing the ethics, not if it's real.

The one I encountered was quite a friendly soul. I wouldn't recommend going into the business of summoning them up. It's like politics, the available candidates are really not the ones you want to meet.

No. Ghosts aren't demons. Psychics aren't evil. There are psychics who are frauds, but that isn't the case with all psychics. Just because someone is psychic it doesn't mean they are mentally ill (as some here will tell you).

I am like you. I do have premonitions and also glimpses into other people's thoughts. I don't talk about it though with anyone. I have been shocked a few times by the thoughts of others, but I don't say anything.

These "things" are not of Satan. Satan is imprisoned now. Hell is no more. In my opinion, we are in touch with our thought adjuster who is God's impersonal spirit within us. We also have the Holy Spirit who guides us too.

Please remember, that Abraham lived a very long time ago and things were different then. There was much going on, but always keep in perspective that those who lived during Abraham's time were primitive men who believed in superstitions and blood sacrifices.

Ghosts, spirits, 'demons'... all just part of the invisible world. Energy can be neither created or destroyed. I too have had my share of odd experiences. And I just accept them. 'Demons' an only harm you if you let them.

As for psychics, they are just people who accept their gifts. Most are charlatans. But there are those who DO have perceptions that can not be easily answered by science. Or Dogma.

(By the way - 'demon' is just the Christan corruption of the Greek word 'daemon', which means 'spirit')

you know yourself they are not demons and it is not evil....
there is no harm done , no bad feelings.... nothing at all
it is natural for some people and children are amazing little psychics and mediums
but biblically it says it is....
but I do wonder if these things are condemned because it would perhaps contradict " the word of God "
if mediumship is real .... then the dead are not sleeping in their graves as the bible tells us , but very much alive
not only that , but worse than that ....... it means that Christians are not the only ones to survive death

Yes gohst are indeed demons, and if you were to see an angel of God, it would appear as a man not a ghost, for there are many many examples in the word of God, that angels of God appear as men.

when a person dies we know nothing else until that great day of the lord when He resurrects us, we are simply asleep until then.

It is the doctrine of the immortality of the soul, the view that the human soul has a conscious existence immediately after death.

Yet the Bible, reputedly the authoritative document of the Christian faith, nowhere teaches this doctrine.

Ghosts aren't usually demons, they are spirits of dead people. Except for spirits deliberately conjured up by mediums and psychics, these spirits are usually demons purporting to be ghosts.Their purpose is to lie, mislead and entice people into even more dabbling in the occult.

I am not denying it to be true, that you probable can do them things, but I can tell you that they are not of God. They come from demonic spirits, not saying that they are not true, but the source that this information is coming to you is not by God. I think that Satan works on who ever he thinks he can get to believe it and use it and even practice it on a daily basis. But it is not a good thing, I would hope that you would want to turn from it, ask God to intervene and make the spirits go away and he will and free you from them demonic forces. You yourself can rebuke the spirits in the name of Jesus Christ and they will flee from you. The longer they are with you the harder it will be for you to free yourself from them.

The bottom line is that we are nothing but energy. When we die that energy is absorbed by the earth which is one huge capacitor. Those people are still here and the more sensitive of us can tap into their energy. It is no more evil than listening to a good radio station.

I think some people have the gift of dicernment, but that is not the same as having visions or seeing into the future. The Bible warns against "soothsaying", trying to see into the future.

I don't believe in ghosts. When we die, our soul goes one of two places : heaven or hell.

Don't listen to them I had a long talk with my Priest and he says it is a special wee gift from God some people get. People who don't have it are jealous, because God only gives it to the ones he wants to have them.
So don't let it worry you, use your gift wisely.
