First off,I'm so sorry.I don't know where any of the popular Gods were, but somebody should have struck that deviate down with something. As far as your' faith, let me say this;I'm an Agnostic who ABSOLUTELY disbelieves the validity of the Christian God,but my reasons are LOGICAL,not EMOTIONAL.If you're going to renounce the contradictory,guilt-ridden,useless dogma of Christianity-and I highly recommend it,it made my life better in many ways-it shouldn't be because of the actions of one scumbag. This is A LOT easier said than done, but you've got to find a way to incorporate this into your' life, and move on.Look at it this way;are you going to give this filthy deviate and his actions that much RESPECT?Are you going to let this shape and dictate the rest of your' life?I'm not gonna recommend a therapist(they can exasperate a problem as often as they can help with one,I think),but if you think talking it out with a neutral party a couple of times might help, then go for it.
Bottom line;If your' ready to take the step forward, and leave these idiotic, useless superstitions behind, trust me,it's an upgrade. But you should be doing it for the right reasons.Good luck.

I'm sorry that happened to you.

All I will say is don't blame God for something a bad man did. If God stepped in everytime anyone did something bad, there wouldn't be much point to this life because we wouldn't really have the ability to make decisions and choices on our own. And if we couldn't do that, we would never learn anything. Place blame for what happened to you where it belongs: Squarely on the shoulders of the priest who abused you, a man who most definitely was NOT a "man of God".

It was because you believe that God had abandoned you...but He hadn't! He was there suffering right along with you. He felt the pain of that future sin when He was hanging on the cross.
Bad things happen to us in this fallen world because sin exists. God gave man Free Will, and that man used his Free Will to choose to do evil. But God can take that bad thing and turn it around for good.
"Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. "
God wants you to turn to Him and ask Him to come into your heart and heal you. Then He will do incredible things with your life that you couldn't even imagine now.
I pray that you will take this to heart; do not harden your heart against Him. He has been desperate to help you since you were 9 years old, but you kept turning your back on Him. Give Him a chance.

True faith is trusting God through all things. We were sent here to be tested and that was part of your test. I'm sorry such an awful thing happened to you, but if He stopped all the bad people from doing things, then what was the point of sending the Saviour? What was the point of casting Lucifer from heaven and to hell?

Bad things happen, it is up to you to decide how you respond to them.

Response to response: While you may have responded to it then, you are still choosing to cast negativity over what others believe, which just goes to show that you aren't deciding to handle it at well, doesn't it?

You can't blame GOD for something that happened to you. Bad things happen everywhere, people is molested, people gets sick, people die, people gets murdered, etc etc and you can't blame GOD on everything. It's just Life and everything is a leraning experience, sorry it was you and sorry it was that way, but don;t blame on the religion for that.
A bad priest shouldn't make your faith dissapear, he was just a terrible human being and not all priests are like him

Jesus Christ gives adequate warnings about false religious leaders recorded in Scripture. What amazes me is how people ignore these warnings, thinking they and their churches/ministers/priests are the exceptions.

So some of the blame lies with your parents.

In any event, why don't you expose the one who did this to you? Even if this destroyed your faith, you can help expose this guy so that he is unable to continue in his abusive practice.

But don't be blaming God who gave warnings in Scripture concerning wolves in sheep's clothing.

I didn't apply the standards of Scripture until I had been abused in a "church" for nearly 25 years.

OMG...i don't know where God was, but after reading your story, i am so sorry that happened to you, and every child that happens to when an "adult" betrays a child's trust...just like the 5 year old girl they are looking for now that was seen on a child-porn tape...those sorry mf-ers that did it to her...i hope they cut their penises off and stick it in their mouths...and that goes for the priest that did that to you!!! is your statute of limitations up? can you prosecute? i sure hope so...

Yeah it's funny isn't it? Supposedly god sent 2 bears to maul 42 children for making fun of a bald guy, but I guess he misplaced his bears the day you were being molested by "a man of god"... Garbage, all of it... I'm sorry that happened to you but it just goes to show there is no god worthy of worship if he can't even save one child from his followers.

First off, I cannot say how you feel, it must hurt; but we have to realize, this happens to many, was'nt the first, won't be last.
Life is not perfect, we cannot blame God, think of Job. Suffering is a reality to all our lives. Ultimately, only you know how you feel, may you be happy.
