I downloaded the newest firefox version and whenever I go to the addons window firefox freezes up and won't let me do anything, so now I can't back up firefox with back-up fox to get my setting correct again, it also won't use the selected theme even though it says it will after I restart firefox which I have done several times. The only way to close the addons window is CTRL ALT Delete

When you updated Firefox should have asked you about any add-ons that were not compatible and updating. If you missed that and have an add-in that is not compatible, then you probably need to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it.
Latest version is now 2.0.0.7
I have no problems using the add-ins window although I only have two add-ins.
