I've been seeing someone for about a year and a half but we broke up at the beginning of this year but still not much has changed. Sometimes he tells me he still loves me but we both have too much going on to get back together. He has an ex girlfriend that is still around helps his family out and is around for every family function but he says that there is nothing between them but I have a problem with it and he makes it clear how much he doesn't care how I feel about her being around. Also, he goes out with friends at times, which I don't mind but if I question him about anything that seems suspicious he yells at me, curses and says very hurtful things. He questions me about every last detail of my life but if I do it he tells me to mind my business and reminds me that I'm not his girlfriend anymore but he gets all the benefits. I really do love him dearly but it's emotional torture. What should I do? We are both in our 20s

Good God why aer you putting up with that? He treats you like sh_t, has another woman around his family, yet wants to know everything YOUR doing. Would you want to be married to a control freak like this? Cut the rest of the ties girl - and do it quick - this guy is a LOSER! You can do better!

Come on...you indeed love him (Mainly for supporting such things) but...did you ever asked you self if he really loves you? Someone whose really loves you would be so rude and so unfair?
And the thing about the ex...NO WAY! Maybe there's nothing at all but nobody deserves an ex being around all the time!
In my humble opinion, he doesn't loves you at all, not for hanging out with his friends or something like that but...he doesn't give a damn about how you feel and doesn't treat you like he should.
Talk is cheap, I know, but the best thing you can do is continue your life not caring that much about him...hang out with your friends as well, know different persons, maybe new guys...he's not the only one...and, after all, maybe you find someone really better than him...someone that treats you like you really should be treated!
Furthermore, you're too young to be so worried about someone that don't care! Even if you were in your 40s, you should not take that.

Oh! And btw, do not report your life to him!

Stop letting him treat you like crap. He does not care about what you think. He has double standards and is selfish. Move on. He is staying around for the benefits. Don't let yourself be used like that. I will take some time but you will get over it and you will be better off. In the future don't put up with a man that treats you like that.

Move on. This guy wants everything from you and will get jealous but doesnt like it when you ask him questions.. How about you tell him he isnt your boyfriend the next time he starts asking questions. If he gets benefits, he is just using you cause you will let him.

leave him. this can turn into a pententionally dangerous relationship. quit asking him about his business if he gets angry. and you arent with him anymore. also dont answer him when he asks about your life. give him a taste of his own medicine. get mad at him and show him how it feels when he does it to you. only do this if you are sure he wont put his hands on you. obviously he doesnt care about your feelings or he wouldnt treat you this way. love doesnt hurt but it seems like your kind of love does.

sori if the speling is rong... but i have been in that situation... my advice to you is ask your self what are the reasons why you love him... and write it down.... and write down the reasons what makes you sad about him... then think about what have you written... in my opinion... relationship should be give and take... learning to sacrifice for the person you care about... if he/she is abusing you... DUMP HIM/HER!!... If you love him so much.... think about it!!.. is it worth it? like they say "there are many fishes in the sea" and your still young so whats the hurry....

i wouldnt put up with that....there are plenty more fish in the ocean :) if you are doubting wether or not you should dump him, chances are you should find another guy
