Chinese are born with their Brain Inside their head and on the Top, whereas Sadly to say the George Senior & George Junior was born with a deformity. They were born with their Brain at the Anus, and each time they try to think hard, only S..H..I..T came out.

Yes, well, I think you're right. But let's not get into who has a better country. Look, Tiennaman (sp?) Square happened. And free speech in China is questionable. America has it's problems, too. (Arrogance being primary among them.)
But let's not fall into the trap of hating our differences. I ENJOY China's ways of being different than the US. I know a lot of Americans get on Y/A and trash China, but most of us don't Most of us think China is the bee's knees. (And a lot of other countries, too.) I want to live in China at least a couple of years BECAUSE it's not like the US. Let's celebrate that.

You'll never know what China does, because it has no free press and no democracy, so no citizen knows what the government budget is for anything. I doubt anyone knows how much China has spent to destroy the Tibetan culture, or to support dictatorship in Sudan or other African countries. And I bet no one knows how many prisoners exist in Chinese gulags. And as for China doing stupid things... how many Chinese died because Mao and the rest of the Chinese government created the "Cultural Revolution?" 20 to 30 million seems to be the conservative estimate. And what else ... oh, yes ... let's have the peasants make steel in their backyards by melting down their cookware. Now there's a bright idea. Or how about making everyone in Beijing kill sparrows because they eat grain, and then being overrun with insects. Smart move!No country has a monopoly on doing foolish things, but I'd say if you take China's toll and put it up against the US, I'd say China has done a lot worse.

First of all, you have to understand the differences between the 2 countries' military industry. In USA, there are a lot of companies which build weapons, so more budget for war means better business=more orders=more employment=economy improve(to a certain extend). Unlike USA, the Chinese don't build & sell weapons, war to them is a waste of time and money.

When China becomes the wealthiest and the most powerful country in the world and can still be humble and compassionate, that is the only time I would consider it to be way better. Do you think China won't invade or bully any country? I want to be around to see what happens in the next decades.
I have a Chinese friend and he is one of the most respectable person I've ever known. However, I met a lot more arrogant Chinese. I sometimes wonder if many Chinese are already this arrogant when China is still a 3rd world country, what would they do once they become a 1st world?

We can see that from the government spending more money on economic and improving people's life standard. Some school in the nation now do not need to pay or partly paid by the government. The Chinese government setup an investment company that invest of foreign assets to get a higher return for its fiscal reserve. The great example is Blackstone when it list at NYSE. The Chinese government only spend 2-3% of its GDP on military in case there is nations invading or terrorist attacks in the country. That is way less than what US is spending. Oh, also the seniors in some cities got a boost in their money for retirement. The Chinese is also investing heavily on its infrastructure to attract more money to the nation and hope to get more people out of the poors. of course, they also need to spend money to buy large amount of oil for the high demand of energy in the country and economic needs. From my understanding, we can see why American is suffering on living standard and Chinese are improving. Even with tough competition for business in China, companies still sees large profit from Great China region

I live in the states. 30-40% of my income goes to the government. Of course, I am not happy with the spending on a war. But this doesn't make either of the two countries better or worse.

China and America and indeed every single country (in terms of its state/gov and politics) are silly and dumb...we all make mistakes and do silly things...but the difference is whether we can confess and change...
america is silly for invading Iraq- australia is silly alongside with america for not signing the kyoto treaty, britain is silly as well - irag war, japan is silly for not confessing to ww2 atrocities, china is silly for some its own problems such as corruption...etc...but in the end...name me a country which is perfect in every single way...
it's good to know that you are proud and know a bit about china ..but please..show a little bit of respect for the americans...I don't want them starting a fight with us chinese on yahoo answers
