Whether or not our beliefs are the same, shouldn't we be standing by those of other faiths in their darkest hour of oppression? Using the "Domino Theory" as a guide, wouldn't the outcome of the conflict in Burma set precidence for possible future oppression of religions worldwide if a worldwide stand is not taken?

I'm Christian and I'm supporting those monks not because they are defending their religion but because of their campaign for democracy. I'm not a fan of dictatorships like the Burmese government.

I strongly suggest to leave the monks alone. They don't need any help, and they are fully aware that any consequenses are thier own and they are to handle the consequeses by themselves.

They go against their own practise by doing what they do, so best leave them alone with whatever suffering they have created to handle for themselves.
