Humans have free will. Angels do not.
Satan ("the Adversary") was created by god to do what he does. That is and always has been part of The Plan.
God is not good or just or fair. He just is.

Angels, which in some interpretations were created LONG before man, are never expressed as having free will.
Humans, on the other hand, are very clearly described as being unique in having a free will.

god did not "breed" angels. He made them directly. They are exactly what he created.

Mr. Poptart is correct about Islam (another Abrahamic belief system) making it clear that the devil, Iblis, is not an angel and does have partial free will. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iblis

Satan the Devil was not Satan when he was created by God. He was known as an angel of great light. Satan was jealous of the worship that belongs to Jehovah God alone. His heart turned and he became what he is today, the Adversary to Jehovah God. Also, 1/3 of the angels in heaven sided with Satan so this shows us that angels also have the power of free will to follow God or not. Satan and his demons(angels) chose for themselves what they are now. Jehovah did allow this, yes, to prove His point that none of His Creation can live without Him.

God created everything in existence, including the ability to read, the oxygen we breathe, the intelligence He gave man to invent computers therefore trickling down to Y!A, the water we drink, the sun, love, etc etc. God needed none of it, never needed us, but created us anyway, and created many gifts for us. Imagine, He gave us the gift of reason! Yes, God is good. VERY good.
Satan doesn't exist. There is no devil, no "fallen angel" because angels have no free will. Only human beings have free will. It was impossible for any angel to rebel against God. The Lucifer story is symbolic, NOT LITERAL.
Everything God created is good. God did not create any Satan. This "Satan" doesn't exist.
Yes, God is good.

God didn't "create" Satan, the Christianity did.
There could be no Christian god without the Christian devil.
Look at the history behind the theory of hell and the devil. It didn't show up in writing until well after Christianity was founded.
The devil looks a lot like the horned god pan and it was easy for the church to make this evil presence look a lot like one of the gods that pagans revered.
Christianity wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for the Devil and the consequences of doing wrong in the eyes of god.
Eternal damnation is a pretty good motivator.

Satan had free will, just like people do. Satan chose to rebell against God, as many angels also did. God created all the people, but there are many that rebell agianst God too. God is good- that's why Satan had to be cast from Heaven and no sinner who has not been reborn cannot enter God's presence.

The Scriptures indicate that the creature known as Satan did not always have that name. Rather, this descriptive name was given to him because of his taking a course of opposition and resistance to God. The name he had before this is not given. God is the only Creator, and Deuteronomy 32:4 says " The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice; Righteous and upright is he."
He was created a perfect, righteous creature of God. We know he was a spirit person, because he appeared in heaven in the presence of God. Job 1:6,7 says that all the angels gathered b4 God, including Satan.
John 8:44 says "...and he did not stand fast in the truth..." This statement from Jesus indicates that he was once 'in truth' but forsook it. So, from a righteous, perfect start, this spirit person deviated into sin and degradation. The process bringing this about is described by James when he writes: “Each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.” (Jas 1:14, 15)
Satan came to be rebellious, acted this out with deceivng Eve and therefore we were all born ino sin and death (Romans 5:12). This action challenged God's right to rule....in effect saying that he could turn anyone away from serving God. (Job for example)
The Plan is to let Satan prove that he can't turn everone against him and to prove that man cannot rule himself without relying on God. Meanwhile God lovingly sacrificed his own Son as a ransom, giving us the chance for forgiveness and to come into perfection that Adam lost. After, of course, Satan and all the people who are determined not to worship in the way he requires, are destroyed. Psalms 37:29, Rev 21:3,4 - Isaiah 33:24

The answer to this question doesn't have to be on a large scale. But have you ever bred some kind of animal you adored, as God does adore what He creates.
Have you ever matey? Just to find out you have to put one of them down because he is too ....?
You'd know about it if you have ever bred animals, and as sad as it may be for the human heart to do so, how much more would it have been for God ay?
Do/have you read your bible?
Satan came against Him not the twuther.
God IS Good and He IS Just.
You just obviously don't know Him!

If god is all understanding then we are only puppets without unfastened will, following the set predistined direction of the popular. wherein case burning human beings in a firey hell for all eternity is an act of sadistic brutatily. Why could an all understanding god create somebody to dedicate a sin and then punish them for it. that would desire to make god a narsistic scizophrenic plagued by a extensive dose of oxymoronism. The Christian version of god is subsequently bolox. yet of direction they could not probable be incorrect. The notice of god is infallible. inspite of the very fact it replaced into written via guy (Moses) and translated via guy (King James and so on) and deliberatly massaged via guy (Constantine) in to deceptive human beings. practising Shaman... quantum physics rocks.

Who says angels don't have free will. God gave everyone free will. Because of his free will satan became who he is because he thought and wanted to become better than God which he was never going to achieve so therefore he was kicked out of heaven.

Satan or Lucifer was an Angel as we all know. The Most loved and the most beautiful angel. We all know the story. Lucifer decided one day that he should be a god and well, he tried to overthrow Heaven and well, it didn't work and God Threw him to Earth for his disobedience and arrogance. His Pride and Arrogance resulted in his separation from God.

Satan was not created as is. He exercised his free will and right to choose envy of God to become what he is. As far as I can figure, we are part of a running bet. How many will choose God over the easier path of least resistance that Satan has laid out?
