When i adopted her, the shelter said German Sheppard mix, but the more she grew the more she looks like some sort of hound, some people think maybe rhodesian.

She is 80lb.

"Shepherd mix" is what all dogs are called when a shelter doesn't know what else to call them!

She could be part Rhodesian Ridgeback. Her muzzle is very boxy and fleshy - perhaps some mastiff genes?

In all likelihood she is a combination of five or six (or more) breeds. With that many, it's hard to start identifying them accurately.

It is difficult to pin point exactly what mixture she is. She could be Yellow Lab and Shepherd or some other mix with Rhodesian. Her face looks more Lab shaped but her forehead with the wrinkles looks Rhodesian. Guess you will just have to accept that she is a big red dog!!

What color is her tongue? If it has some black, she might have some chow in her. The pic with the 'wrinkle forehead' and ears,---possible Shar pei, among others. Possibly rhodesian ridgeback too.............You could post lots of pics and depending on expressions, body language, she could be lots of breeds. Off hand, if I was rehabbing her I would call her a big 'ole lab mix. (or simply 'mutt', which happens to be one of my favorite breeds)

The best way to discover this, if it is really important to you, is not through looks. Over time, note 3 of her most consistent 'traits' she exhibits. Then you can track those to breed specific characteristics. One can be as simple as---if she ADORES water, loves to put her head in the sprinkler, 'bites' the water from the hose and will jump into any body of water without hesitation...ya got a lab in there for sure...Woof.

She looks like a Rhodesian rigeback /shepherd mix.

She's very cute!

My dog is a mixed breed also and I am trying to find what he is bred with but I think his mom bred with different dogs so its hard to find out what he is exactly. I do know he has lab in him. So he is my Lab mix.

She could have some golden retriever or yellow lab mixed with german shepherd, but who cares? That is one beautiful dog! Just goes to show that shelter dogs are just as good as expensive designer dogs.

I'd say Lab/ Shepherd/ maybe Akita? I see Rhodesian. Chances are, your dog's parents weren't purebreds themselves, so she's probably a mix of several things.
