Why get all upset over a picture? Xians having been portraying and making fun of other beliefs and religions for centuries - hence Pagans and Wiches......
Did we get all bent out of shape when they depict us as lovers of beastiality or Wiches as green ugly crones? Or even worse - followers of their Satan? No. They should just suck it up and go on or take a hard look at themselves.
Xian text "He without sin shall cast the first stone". ????

Feh. Look at all the FREE PUBLICITY they are generating for their event. They have so many people, even those highy placed, bringing press coverage to the controversy that more people will know about the event and more will go, some as participants, some as curious onlookers. It is nothing more than typical media and advertising strategy. The only thing that surprises me is that no one has complained that the figure that is supposed to represent Christ doesn't have the normally portrayed "look" that many expect christ to have. They have complained about everything else conected with it. I suppose if theye added THAT to thier list of objections it might make thier arguments into something more objectionable than their own objectins to the ad. Perhaps someone should explain to them the diference between blasphemy and lampoon.

I wanna go! I have a friend that went to the Folsom Street Fair last year and she said it was awesome.

The picture? Eh, I've seen worse. Not much shocks me anymore, I prefer to do the shocking.

Quite hypocritical like the article says. Hateful people they are. Also, I'm pretty sure that's been done before, so pretty unoriginal.

Sorry,
it doesn't offend me.
Was it supposed to shock someone,
I think it was a very clever way
to aggravate whoever.
Those were some really nice
and healthy looking folks.

about the picture? it's gay

about the article? sounds about right...

but since i don't attend such events or support any of its organizers, like the miller brewing co., i will chalk this up to america's amazing freedom of speech...

Well, it'll certainly cause a sensation which is what advertising and art (in its many forms) are supposed to do. Otherwise, I couldn't care less.

it doesn't bother me. it looks interesting. i could see how it could offend some christians though.

you would never see this stab at any other religion. like gonesh getting it in the butt, or buddha in drag, smoking a cig. people love to dig at christianity; i couldn't care less one way or the other, except i find it disrespectful to the religion.
