Got my hair cut last week. Looks very different from usual. Shorter. Just a bit "choppy" looking.

Not one person - not even my husband, who always makes comments - has said one single word about it. No one in my circle of friends has said even "Got a haircut, huh?" Nobody. Nada. Nothing.

I think the silence means that nobody likes it. Do you agree?

What is your gut reaction to this new hair cut?

If you feel uncomfortable, chances are that the silence does mean it isn't flattering.

If you are ambivalent, then it could mean that people aren't sure what has changed. You are more aware of your hair being cut shorter & looking choppy but the style isn't drastic or radical enough for others to notice.

Here are some articles to help you out as you decide what you want to do: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Bad-Hair-Cut-Look-Better

Look over these articles & think of ways that you can adapt this cut to make it work for you. Consult with your hairdresser & see if he/she can re-work it a little.

Recently, I decided to get a perm & it didn't turn out the way I expected. I've been w/ my hairdresser for 7 years so I waited for the perm to calm down, looked at other options & talked to her about it. She trimmed my hair for free & it's much better now.

Chances are, if you didn't cut off too much length or didn't get any color done, most people will not notice a change. If you styled it that same way that you styled your old haircut, then the change may not be apparent to others.

Most people never notice if you get 2 or 3 inches taken off your length because it doesn't make that much of a difference. On the other hand, maybe they don't like the cut and would rather not say anything if they don't have anything nice to say....

Sounds like your cut isn't much of a hit. But on the bright side, at least those around you are trying to be kind about it. You have got thoughtful folks around you who don't ridicule you. Be thrilled with that knowledge and remember, your hair will always grow!

ask your husband. he might just think it's only messy. everytime I do that kind of style, my dear husband says honey you need to comb your hair a bit before we leave...yeah.

trust your mirror and your own feelings about it!
