Christianity is founded upon fear...fear of punishment...fear of damnation (to hell). Early Christian leads sought to lead through fear and intimidation.

This answer would take a while to answer properly. First I must assume you are not aware of the revolution on biblical hermeutics started by Julius Welhausen and others.

And while I do not agree with Welhausen's conclussion, he did open a road which has been very fruitful in the last century.

In a nutshell it can be said that the five first books of the Bible are comprised of a variety of literary (not in the sense of fiction) documents of very diverse genres - many of them not used any longer - on which not always an exact account of events as understood on modern times was desired. In other words we are reading theology using a narrative, and not philosophical terms which would not be developed until much later.

And so what God abhors and detests is sin much more than sinners. A book which is very evident in this matter is the book of Jonah in which the prophet is forced to convert Niniveh, the most detested nation for the Hebrews, something akin to have converted the nazis in modern times and made them part of the people of God.

The Bible says a true follower of Christ must hate his Parents.....is this enough ?

Luk 14:26 If any [man] come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

I don't live in the Old Testament or the Book of Revelation as a Christian but in and by the Whole Word of God, Jesus Christ ,and the fullness of His teachings as the Prince of Peace and Lord of All.

I think you are confused. Islam is the religion of peace, not Judaism or Christianity.

You MISSED.... this when THEY.... came to Church....!

(Jude 1:3-4) Having made all haste to write to you about the common salvation, beloved, I had need to write to you to exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.

(Jude 1:4) For certain men crept in secretly, those having been of old previously written into this condemnation, ungodly ones perverting the grace of our God for unbridled lust, and denying the only Master, God, even our Lord Jesus Christ.
