Well, just like many other prophets, the miracles established Jesus' credentials as a messenger from God.
However, his specific miracles (raising the dead, healing the sick, feeding multitudes, etc.) foreshadowed the things he would do for mankind when he rules as king over us during the 1000 years.

To show us that he is God.
We are human beings and live our lives very much in the physical realm. If you notice, all of Jesus' healing miracles involved touching...a physical relationship to the miracle. He also cast out demons and controlled nature. All of these things were miracles that could be seen and or felt by many.

John 5:36
But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.
John 10:24-25
Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.

All prophets performed miracles to prove that God really was on their side -- that they were not just making things up.

If anybody is performing against the nature's law then certainly he is either God or nearer to God. You can not question about the activity of such super special human beings. They are born to make this world more beautiful for us.

THE SCRIPTURES TELL US THE HEALING IS THE CHILDRENS BREAD AND
MIRACLES ARE FOR THE UNBELIEVER.
MANY WILL BELIEVE ON JESUS WHEN THEY SEE A MIRACLE...
ST JOHN 4:48 THEN JESUS SAID UNTO HIM, EXCEPT YE SEE SIGNS AND WONDERS, YE WILL NOT BELIEVE.
THIS IS ANOTHER WONDERFUL STORY OF HOW JESUS RESPONDS TO PEOPLE.
THIS NOBLEMAN'S SON WAS AT THE POINT OF DEATH BUT HE KNEW WHO TO GO TO..HE ASKED JESUS TO COME DOWN AND HEAL HIM.."LEST HE DIE."
JESUS SAID TO HIM, "GO THY WAY, THY SON LIVETH" AND THE MAN BELIEVED THE WORD THAT JESUS HAD SPOKEN UNTO HIM AND HE WENT HIS WAY.
AS HE WAS ON HIS WAY HIS SERVANTS MET HIM TELLING HIM HIS SON LIVETH . THE MAN ENQUIRED OF THE SERVANT OF THE HOUR HE WAS HEALED AND THE SERVANT REPLIED AT THE SEVENTH HOUR.
SO THE FATHER KNEW THAT IT WAS AT THE SAME HOUR IN THE WHICH JESUS SAID UNTO HIM THEY SON LIVETH, AND HIMSELF BELIEVED AND HIS WHOLE HOUSE.
THAT WAS THE SECOND MIRACLE THAT JESUS DID,
THE FIRST WAS WHEN HE TURNED THE WATER INTO WINE.

To prove God's love.
To heal people.
To show God's power.
To prove He was the Messiah.
Lastly, and most importantly, the Messiah is God's Son in the Old Testament, so He must still be God's Son in the New Testament.

Because he Loved people and also wanted them to be made whole.Even those whom he asked not to tell anybody, those as he hushed some about who He was, including demons.
For the time of His Revelation could not take place just yet, it had to be done as was prophesied.

There were two reasons. One was to identify himself as the Messiah and that his Father's holy spirit was operating through him. Without a written "bible" at the time it was what drew people to him. The other reason is that it for a foreshadowing of what he will do for all of mankind at a time of his Father's choosing.

Do you have any evidence to support the claim that he did?
Other than the biblical account which was written way to late, has been edited too many times and was written by people who were biased in the first place.
