that is an e-mail i keep getting, Has anyone tried this type of thing before, I would like to know the ins and outs about it.
if anyone has got it, is it any good and does it stand up to its claims of 3000 cannels.

I bought it, it is not worth the money most channels are recorded and if you get live channels the picture is very poor and most of all channels come in many languages. why do I need to watch TV cumming in Italian or Greek or Russian or Chinese or Japanese if I do not understand the language.

It's BS, of course. Basically you are given a download of some IP-based stream player and a list of "channels". So called 3000 channels includes stuff from all over the world, in languages you don't understand, on subjects you have absolutely no interest in. Total waste of money, but that's the idea. At least they got the money from you.

why would anybody want to turn there pc into a tv my laptop came with free view but i never use it i hate tv
if they ever bring out something that turns my tv into the ultimate pc i will be first in line

no need to pay for it - check out freevo. (although you'll need a tv-tuner card, which usually goes for $100+)

there's also Windows Media Center.
