i have a PS3 and would love to play halo as i have heard its an amazing game from so many people but i have never played it. im not prepared to buy an xbox so i want a good alternative. i have resistance fall of man and enjoy the game very much so dont suggest that one lol
please help!

For real good FPS' on PS3 your best bet is to hold out for;
Haze (by the makers of time-splitters and a PS3 exclusive),
Unreal tournament 3
or Call of duty 4
all due out in the next couple of months.
Killzone 2 looks ace, but isn't due till next year some time.

I don't know why folks are saying MGS4 - it's not out yet, and may not come out until next year.
In terms of FPS, Fall Of Man is really the best FPS the PS3 has at this time. FEAR and Call Of Duty are also FPS titles, but had issues on the PS3 with framerate or controls.
Unfortunately if you want to play Halo3, you' re going to have to get a 360. Halo and Halo2 are available for the PC as well, but have some pretty high hardware requirements, including Vista for Halo2. While a hack is available to allow you to play Halo2 under XP, it'd probably just be cheaper to get a 360 Premimum, and used copies of Halo and Halo2.

I suggest Killzone 2. Killzone 2 is supposed to be coming out next year in Februrary. I played a demo of the first Killzone and that game is so realistic, even more realistic than Halo is.

what approximately unreal tournament 3? you could hire it earlier you purchase it...i for my area am hooked on the COD video games and surely like em extra helpful than Halo...yet sturdy information for you rumor has it PS3 is interior the technique of having Halo for PS3 ^_^

Halo is better known for it's online multiplayer capabilities than it's campaign mode. So if you are looking for a fun game to play online, I suggest Warhawk. I currently can't get enough of it.

If you've already got Resistance, then go buy Warhawk. There is no single player component but the multi-player is crazy.
