And that neither is "look out the window", and "look in the mirror".
Right?
Well if you do, then why try to use that kind of crap to prove your religion?
Because you have nothing else?
And before you say it, yes I realize that not all Christians do this, I'm talking to the ones that do. And there's a heck of alot of you that do.

Handman... let me explain something to you.
In 2002, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. They tried everything they could think of but she slowly wasted away. In the last week of her life, we had to put her in a special hospital because we couldn't take care of her anymore.
I wasn't there the day she died. I had been going to go after work but she died before I could get there.
So don't you tell me any arrogant rude crap about being by the side of a loved one thats died slowly wasting away.
I HAVE. I saw it. I experienced it. Its been years and sometimes it still makes me cry that this truly wonderful woman, my best friend in life, had to suffer so horribly.
You know what? There is no god. You bet my beliefs were stirred by that. It made me even more convinced that there could not be a god. No loving god would ever do something like that to a person.

Maria, the only reason to say "god bless you" to someone that doesn't believe is a veiled attempt at saying "f' yourself".
Think about it.

Mike, thats not proof. And actually... if you look (which I recommend you don't since it will burn out your retinas), the sun in our sky is actually smaller than the moon.
Use your brain, not your bible.

Btw... the sun is BIGGER than the moon but the moon is closer. Use your brain.

Oregon... you just said a load by saying "god bless". The only reason to say that is that your saying a veiled "f' you".

biggestjesusfan, it may be enough for you but why should it be enough for anyone that thinks your religion is a load of crap? Its not proof. Simple as that. Use something else. At least someone else here made the attempt at science, no matter how wrong it might be.

I get tired of Christians using the Bible to try and prove that the Bible is true. "Just look at all the fulfilled prophecies!" they say. Some of them are known to have been written AFTER the events happened, and the rest are so vague that they could apply to any time period or any collection of events. "The Bible says there will be doubters and many will fall away! You are proof that the Bible is true!" Well, whoop-de-damn-doo. There have always been people doubting other people's religions, that's nothing new. Everyone thinks their religion is the one, true religion and everyone else's is junk, and that their god is real while everyone else's is fake. That's human nature.
Oh, then there's "Just look around you! Creation is proof of a creator," followed by the old "watch without a maker" story. Jeez, you'd think they'd change it to computers or cell phones or something, just to stay updated. Just shows how stuck in the past they are. The existence of things just shows that things exist, it doesn't say anything about how they got here. To learn that, you have to turn to geology, archeology, genetics, etc. It would also behoove Christians to learn something about Brane Theory, since it is quickly replacing--or at least enhancing--Big Bang Theory. This is more difficult and time-consuming than "God did it," but also much more intellectually fulfilling.
I am sorry about your mother. My mother died in 1994 of a heart attack. She lingered in a coma for about 3 days, having numerous heart failures in that time, and finally passed away. She believed in God and Jesus and a lot of people said she went to heaven. At the time, I believed they were right. Now, I simply accept that she is dead and there probably won't be a magical time in the future when we'll be reunited. I would LIKE to believe this, but how can we know for sure if there simply isn't any proof of it? All these religions with their various beliefs of the afterlife, and not a one can be proven.

Some one has asked this question,
"What are the proofs through which one can establish the existence of God?" 104
Humanity is divided into two classes: -- one is satisfied with the knowledge of divinity through its attributes and the other strives to understand the mysteries of divinity and be informed of the fundamental principles of divine philosophy. I will speak to you of the scientific proofs which establish the existence of God and I will not quote the scriptural proofs from the Old and New Testaments, or the Koran, with which you are more or less familiar.
Science teaches us that all forms of creation are the result of composition; for example, certain single atoms are brought together through the inherent law of affinity and the result is the human being. A number of primordial atoms have gone into the make-up of a plant, the result of which is this flower. Again, looking into the mineral kingdom, we observe that this law of attraction is working in the same manner. Many atoms go into the composition of a piece of stone which through purification may reach to the station of a mirror.
When the particles of a given composition are disintegrated, this may be called non-existence in that kingdom; but the original simple elements go back to their primary atoms and are ever existent. When the body of man becomes the subject of decomposition we call that death. That the existence of phenomena depends upon composition, and mortality upon decomposition, is a scientific fact and there is a great difference between facts sustained by science and theories 105 upheld by blind belief which is the result of traditional susceptibility of conscience.

my goodness...you have alot of bitterness in your heart beloved. You know why there is suffering in the world? Its God's megaphone to get our attention. If the world were perfect we wouldnt seek Him at all.
Its perfectly ok to grieve the loss of your mother but remember...God created her...just like He created you, me, my children, etc. And as His creation, He can call us back to Him whenever He wants. How can you be angry at God for taking something that was never yours in the first place? We are on loan to each other...your mother to you...my children to me...
God is above all, a 'just God'. He allows man to enjoy whatever life he/she has WITHOUT His interference..and equally suffer whatever pain life brings...WITHOUT Him coming to the rescue. He is 'loving' in that He will let you curse His name, as you do now...and still forgive you if you accept His Son Christ.
I know you are hurting, but there is no pain on earth that Heaven cant heal. I encourage you to find peace with Him...

It is proof enough for me. Also having a relationship with Christ, seeing Him work in my life and others lives around me. Knowing how I used to be and how I am now. Looking into my childrens faces. Having my prayers answered. That is proof enough for me. Why do you care? You do not know me, or every Christian in the world. Non-believers have been given every proof in the world, and they have CHOSEN not to believe.

they use that kind of crap because of precisely what you said. They don't have anything else, ergo, they have nothing of any substance.
They go on faith, and they are like the Ever Ready Bunny, they keep going and going and going............
Sorry about your mother, my friend. I have been there, it hurts.
Blessings,

People like you won't even acknowledge the proof in our sky!! The sun and the moon are the same size in our sky even though on is much bigger and farther away. Even scientist will concede this. It's called Grand Design courtesy of our Creator Jesus Christ. Praise the LORD.

Honey, I just look at you as myself before I met Christ. You are living in a dying world and you are presently hell-bound. All I can say is that I pray for you and others like you.

What Christians realize is that the Bible is proof.
I'd rather have the Bible & nothing else, than have everything except the Bible.
May God bless & keep you in your struggle for answers.
