We don't need illegal law-breakers in the Army or any military branch! If they can't follow our laws, what makes you think they will follow orders in the Army. They don't speak English, and that's a big problem. And the Army isn't going to make soldiers in now learn Spanish. Bad idea.

I don't think it's a good idea, but not because of any ill-feeling towards illegal immigrants.
I would prefer that recruiting standards in the US Military be tightened for all - too many are enlisting just so they could go to university, see the world or earn some money. People should join because they want to be soldiers, not for extra bonuses they could earn as civilians.
I want to serve with dedicated soldiers who want to be what they are.
Why would the average illegal immigrant want to join the US Military - a sense of duty and a desire to experience the military life, or for money, citizenship and the bonus benefits?

Now if you could give illegal immigrant applicants to the military thorough interviews so you only enlist the best, most dedicated recruits, that'd be a different story.

This is the only place I actually think illegals should be allowed to work because tthen I would not have a problem with them partaking in our freedoms that I fight for daily. I say if you want to be an American bad enough to sneak in than you should help us keep it safe.

I'm all for it, free citizenship for those that sign up. Yes, I think most would not only be loyal, but capable as well. This wouldn't be the first time the US used such a policy either.

Once they sign up for the US Military than they are not illegal.
We had plenty of people who were not US Citizens in the Army.
