Black Sabbath's War Pigs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away.
They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah.

Time will tell on their power minds,
making war just for fun.
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
wait till their judgement day comes, yeah.

Now in darkness world stops turning,
ashes where the bodies burning.
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, God is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercies for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings.
Oh lord, yeah!

I think those words can sum up any war. War is a last resort but there are times when there is NO choice.

If you treat cancer early enough in it's progression, you stand a better chance of survival. I don't think that's far off from nipping some of these countries in the bud , so to speak.

What if we had not helped control Germany years ago? What if they had won in Europe and gotten so big that we would not have been able to stop them when they came knocking at our door? What do we do then... go quietly into the night speaking German? I think not... not on my watch!!!

They came into my house and started killing innocent Americans so if you think for one minute I feel guilty for killing any of them, you are sadly mistaken! It seems everyone was a little more gung-ho right after 9/11... Lest we forget!

Too may Americans are so self-absorbed and selfish in their way of thinking anymore, it makes me sick. If you people don't want to fight and defend yourselves... at least give a darn about helping to defend someone else less fortunate!

Black Sabbath was only trying to make a buck with a song, the safety of the civilization that supports them is none of their concern. Only an idiot would take them seriously.

Not as true as these lyrics do:

"Have You Forgotten"
by Darryl Whorley

I hear people saying we don't need this war
I say there's some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground
We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
Before you start your preaching let me ask you this my friend

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

They took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbing for you and me
It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it everyday
Some say this country's just out looking for a fight
After 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

I've been there with the soldiers
Who've gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember
Just what they're fighting for

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

Have you forgotten all the people killed?
Some went down like heros in that Pennsylvania field
Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?
All the loved ones that we lost and those left to carry on
Don't you tell me not to worry about bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?

How old are you? Black Sabbath isn't exactly classical or old. Now, if you would come up with something from the War of Roses or Crusades.

Besides, anti-war songs from druggie heavy metal anti-socials doesn't carry much weight with me.
