A Hindu friend has asked the following question .When I gave him the answer he complained it to be an abuse & made me recieve "Violation notice ". Such men are hurting the Christians by their inhuman & foolish questions .Then why do they make it a cpmplaint when we send answers to them ?

Here is the question :-

" Why do most of the Christian- converts in India honestly believe their home town is in Yingland ..er...England ? "

Question details:

"And if they really do belong there.why the hell don't they leave?

My peronal comment :-

We Christians (the Dravidians ) are the sons & owners of the Indian soil. We have embraced Christianity ( an Asian born ) religion which we believe to be the best for us . None of us think our home town is England . The word "India " is mentioned in the Bible many times & not any word like America or England in the Bible . Only the Hindus are aliens to India . Then why do the Hindus expect the Christians to go to England ?

I think calling Hindus alien to India did it.
Did you mean that many of the basics of Hinduism came into India with the Aryan Migrations rather than evolving from Dravidian or Indus Civilization sources(even though many basics of Hinduism also may have come from Pre-Indo-Aryan native Indian sources)?

You are right that Christianity is in its origins and roots and early development (especially in its east Syrian expansions which went early to Central Asia and India). The Thomas Christians of Kerala trace their beginnings to St Thomas and Apostolic Period before there was Christianity in Britain and1500 years before it came to America

Christians were in India before the Muslims by hundreds of years and Christians have as much right to live in the country of their ancestors and to contribute to it as Hindus, Sikhs,Jains,Buddhists,Parsees, aboriginal tribal religionists, atheists,Muslims, Jews and other religious groupings.

One of the most respected and up building Indians of all time was Mother Teresa, a Macedonian -born Albanian and a Catholic Christian who lived her beliefs.

God bless and may we all learn to respect each other

The Faithful Slave make mistakes, but that doesn't mean they aren't Jevovah's Channel for imparting the TRUTH to His People. The early Disciples of Jesus made mistakes, Jesus didn't abandon them! They became the cornerstone of the Congregations. They spread the truth DESPITE their infalibilities! We as Humans are ALL imperfect, even the Annointed ones. The Faithful Slave Class interpret the leadings of the Holy Spirit incorrectly sometimes, so later there are updated. So what! That is why it behoves US ALL to STUDY the Watchtower etc, which are BIBLE AIDS. Checking what we are learning makes sense. Be sure it come from the ROOT OF BIBLE TEACHINGS & PRINCIPLES.The Bible is a difficult Book, Bible aids are essential. Just think about weather YOU would KNOW your Bible at all if you had not been taught through the Watchtower etc and the Faithful Slave Class? If we went about expecting the Slave to be perfectly correct each/every time, then what need would they have of Jesus Sacrifice. We, ALL OF US look foreward to the time when imperfection will not spoil any well intended thing! Just remember King David. He was imperfect too. He slipped up REAL bad with Bathsheba/Uriah. Yet Jehovah kept using him as his representative on earth. Also consider what happened to those who in their mind thought David was NOT FIT to be King thereafter, including one of his own Sons. It didn't go well with them did it? EDIT. Do you have a certain teaching in mind? Whenever the Slave have made mistakes, the thought AT THAT TIME was clear, no-one ought feel the need to "question" it, as it would be solidly based on the Scriptures. Only later did/does realisation occur and updates, or clarity needs expounding. As for erroneous predictions about "when" the end would come, these mistakes are surely forgivable! Even the early disciples knew that they were to preach the good news and make disciples of people of all the nations, and then the end would come. But they too had wrong ideas about "when" that would be!! They did not know how thorough a witness would be given, and they did not know when the end would come, but they thought it would be in their lifetime. We understand now HOW that hould not be! These are matters for Jehovah alone to determine, we comprehend that NOW. However we do know and understand that these ARE the last days and the end is IMMINENT!

I pity U, my Christian brother.
Meaningless questions are NOT limited to Hindus alone, all groups ask them , for their own reasons.

I cant understand , much less appreciate , your venom against Upper caste Hindus.
Dont U know that 95% Iyers / Ayyangars have been squeezed out of tamilnadu ? Were they NOT Tamils? They R having superior brains , so they R ruling the roost in Delhi, & in the USA, UK.
( Jayram Ramesh, Mani Shankar Iyer..)

U detest North Indians also. Did they not bear the main brunt of the Freedom struggle?U Christians were always proBritish, since U thought that they R your brethern in Church. How did they treat U ?Worse than dogs.

I'm neither Hindu nor Christian, but I too have read the Bible. Tell me the Chap. / verse wherein India is mentioned, & in what context.
Who, in his right senses will buy your assertion that Hindus R aliens in India. R U not forgetting that the Country is more commonly known as HINDUstan?

Do U think that Christians like Sonia Gandhi, YSR reddy, margaret Alwa, Oscar Fernandez r doing any good to HINDUstan? Converted Xians in Nagaland, & mizoram think that they R Americans.
Is it proper?
Dont bring shame to the fair name of Lord Jesus , who pardoned even his Crucifiers. Your philosophy of hatred will wreak havoc with India.

In "the Qiestion & Answer" section of a magazine or website, an opportunity is given to persons to know many things, get their doubts clarified and outlook also changed.
Hence, no section of Human society should be barred from participating in it.
However, in the interests of ensuring goodwill prevail here too, humble request may be made to our brothers to mind their
expressions and avoid repeating what their leaders have said oftener.
In1857, "Indian" was a geographical term only!
"The spirit of Indianness"got developed only during Britsh Raj (1858 to 1947).During the struggle for India's independence, members of all communities in Inda contributed their mite and willingly made sacrifices. Thus, 'the fabric of Indian society'
is made of 'warp' of the majority community and the'woof' of diverse minority communities!
Any body who advocates 'seclusion', misguides an Indian to tear the fine fabric!

I personally don't think yahoo answers is the place to complain about different religions. I am a christian myself and sometimes some of the questions surprise me too. I think it is only in yahoo India, because, I get yahoo US, but then I try to answer some religion questiones from Yahoo India and all I see is people just insulting on another persons religion. I makes me really angry to see that all people do is just put random comments about another persons religion.

I kinda wanted to answer Sita's question too. Because I think he has a huge misunderstanding about missionaries and their works!~!

Check out the Robins answer in this question. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As2ZHS7cwVCC.nJr1xrM0pfty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070923220302AAfPRX1&show=7#profile-info-n4h7XARxaa .

One of the main missions that Jesus left for his followers is to spread the good news of God around the world and all the missionaries are doing that mission of God. please Don't criticize them Mr. Sita. But have u ever heard a missionaries speech or even showed the good hear to listen to one. They r following their religion and spreading the faith, just like a lot of Hindu people do. I know that Sathaysai Saibaba do that, Matha Amrithanandhamayi do that too for hinduism too.

India is mentioned in the Act of the aposteles, it u want to see it urself

Christians cooperate with the country a lot. WHo were the ones who were fighing about religion over at Gujrat???

The missionaries started a lot of schools and progression in many of the states like Manipur and stuff. Have u hear about mother theresa? She was a missionary who didn't seperate anyone because of their religion. SHe took care of many sick people in calcutta. If u think that is IDIOTIC, maybe Mr.Sita, u need to start opening up ur eyes and look at what a difference she has made in the community. She was not trying to just spreads Gods words, she was trying to improves peoples life in INDIA. And that is what I call cooperating with a country.

I am sorry Sundar, I know I am straightening up Sitas comment more than answering ur question. But hey I don't like to blame any religion for anything. Because all religions teach to love one another !

I don't think Hindus are aliens to India . They originated before christianity was spread in India.

hmmmm.....
now you are committing the same mistake, as the 'Hindu friend' you refer.

Raising a provocative/meaningless question/answer is not the sole prerogative of any particular person, group, or religion. I can see, you are provoked and in this mood, you will never get the real answer to your question.

religion is a very volatile, heated topic. there's no way to state your opinions without pushing some one's buttons. people fight wars over religion, so don't be surprised that people on yahoo!answers take offense as well.
your question referring to hindus' questions as "inhuman and foolish" is a little offensive to me, and i am not hindu. just because you disagree does not make them non-human.

Hindus are very docile and humble when ruled and very aggressive and arrogant when they are rulers.

It should be the opposite.

If it were not for Abrahamic religions of Islam and to a much lessor degree Christianity and Judaism......... they would be the most backward of all the idol worshippers.

Sundar how come you know this guy is a hindu??

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlPlSokjP7EWTPdeGJVPUqvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070923220102AAHqsMb

and my questions are
How can you equate Dravidians to Christians...???
Tamilnadu is the birth place of lots of hindu sages and saints and has innumerable famous temples compared to other states??

Aryan invasion is just a myth...just a way to divide and rule people..proposed by early christians...

I know why you people converted to christianity...
Dont pretend as if christianity is the best ...
either you are ignorant about hindus and hinduism...
or you were brain washed by any one of the millions of missionaries in the world..

What ur friend might have suggested is, India is not the home town of christians who do missionary activities(because india is highly spiritualistic we dont need any false claims of truth), may be england will be a better place for you to do missionary activity because many people are becoming atheist after knowing the truth about the religion.
He would have suggested if you want to live in india please try to co-exist peacefully, without harming other religions.

We dont want you to go to england or america or elsewhere..
this is your home place.. but try to co-exist peacefully with others without trying to do all the idiotic missionary activity.

I dont know where in the bible "India" is mentioned...
Seems u r fooled by missionary on this too..

please quote me from the bible and which verse is it??

The use of the name India dates only from the 17th century onwards, and may be due to the influence of Latin, or Spanish or Portuguese. Then how come it is referenced in the bible...

Did the modify the bible to suit ignorant people like you???

please dont get brain washed by others....

Beauty Queen:
What we are saying is, we dont need the good news of Jesus..
We dont believe and dont want to believe in that good news...

If you people believe in that, please keep it with u and follow it..we dont need it..

What all good things you do its finaly aim is to proselyte...

orphanages and oldage homes to convert people..
hospitals to convert poor people
schools to change people to western school of thought...(Lord Macaulay once famously stated that ‘the entire literature of India cannot fill but a single shelf in a respectable European library’. , Macaulay thus rubbished Indian heritage from vedas to astronomy to ayurveda to mathematics (algebra, calculus and the numbers). Since then the vast Indian middle class intellectuals have been groomed in the Macaulay tradition of being good clerks with no independent thinking faculties)

Thanks for indicating manipur, a north east state ...
i guess u all know north east is 90% converted christians..

I too respect people who do charity with peoples suffering in their mind... not conversion in their mind...

Satya sai, amritanandamayi, etc... must have sprouted as a reciprocation for this idiotic missionary activity...
atleast to save hinduism..from those who claim monopoly of god.

can u show me any satya baba or amritamayi doint this over and over ages like the false missionaries do...

And why only the lower caste and poor get converted??
Why all false things about caste discrimination and false things about hinduism are spread by missionaries??
If u want to tell ur good news, tell that and leave, why do u want to spread bad about others and get converts????

and about india in the bible, geographically speaking the terms "asia" "east" and "india" were imprecise for early christians. Before the age of the great discoveries, these terms were used so interchangebaly that egypt was sometimes pictured in maps as situated in asia which stood as a synonym for india. Sometimes parthia included india as well. Acts of apostles describes the nationalities of the god fearing jews who were in jerusalem for the pentecost, matthew probably includes indians who he assumed to be people from Asia and parthia or why not even egypt, they never had knowledge of india,India was always a mystery and will always be a mystery for the west.

There is a big difference between LORD RAMA and KING RAVEN.

karunanidhi acts like that arrogant king raven.

Hindustan is basically for Hindus.

Pakistan was created by Christians, as per their divide & rule policy.

so why can't Christians go and live with muslims.?

GET OUT OF HINDUSTAN, karunanidhi.

HINDUISM is the mother of all religions.
