repels, not kills.

Cut two lemons into slices, boil two cups of water and pour over the lemons in a bowl.

Let sit overnight in fridge.

Strain out juice into a spray bottle.

Spray onto dog and rub in. It is natural and has no known side effects. And your dog will smell lemony fresh.

As far as the yard, look in your local Hone depot or Lowe's for a treatment.

I hope this helps.

I dont think concentrate would work. it is processed and has too many "un natural ingerdients" added. Preservatives, etc.

Arrange to stay somewhere else overnight, and get a set of Zodiac Flea Foggers. They not only kill bugs you didn't know you had, they also clear out really really well - I am allergic to almost everything, and had very little effect from these within four hours. Do make sure you read the directions, but the process is quite simple. You will also then need to wash all the bedding in hot water, and get some diatomaceous earth to sprinkle into the rugs and floorboards. It is non-toxic (although you still need the foggers!), and will last for months in the rugs and between the floorboards. As for the yard, you will need to spray it with diazinon (Merit) - which is poisonous, but also clears out in a while, and will kill every living thing in the yard. Until you get rid of the fleas all around, you will continue to have them coming in - and fleas can harm your baby enough to worry about, and deal with the other stuff. Newborns are portable, and they don't care where they sleep. Board the cat and dog at the vet, and get the house cleaned up for once and for all, or the fleas will come back - over and over again.

As far as outdoors theres no real remedy or we all would do it ! Although, I have heard that fleas dont like garlic so maybe try planting some or get a garlic spray from the grocery store. As for your dogs this is the trick I learned from my groomer....bath your dog in any type of shampoo leave it in for 5 minutes and then rinse . Then rub baby oil into fur ( not an abundance ) and let sit for 5 minutes this smothers the fleas. You'll watch the fleas just fall off as your rinse out the oil. Its also a good soother for flea bites on their skin too. I've been doing this for quite a while. It really works. Do this once a week.

Capstar is a very inexpensive pill that will kill all the adult fleas on your dog within a couple of hours. You can follow up with Frontline to keep them off.
Mule Team borax sprinkled all over your carpets will kill them in the house.

In the past, I found groomers to carry good products and I would suggest finding one in your area and trying what they have on their shelves. That stuff you buy in the regular stores really isn't very good.

Home made stuff is really not going to work any better than the stuff you already tried.

Have you tried SevenDust? It can be sprinkled on the pets, on their bedding, the carpeting, and the lawn.
