...who doesn't read answers (except to my own questions) that go over 4 paragraphs?

Brevity is the soul of wit!

SuperAtheist--I read it (A) because it was an answer to my question and (B) because a one-sentence paragraph doesn't constitute the same burden as an 8 or 9 sentence paragraph. Using your brain is also referred to as using your wits--so I wasn't just talking about trying to be funny in your answer. Sorry if that was unclear.

if they go on and on, and don't spark interest within the first sentence or 2....they get skipped over to the last sentence, then if it's interesting, i'll read the last paragraph.... but usually they end with Psalm:1 my *** chapter 4 or something, then thats just copy/paste and it gets a thumbs down....

Brevity is fine when you're trying to be witty.

We're trying to answer questions.

Sometimes the answers take a substantial amounts of data.

Yo mama - as you're not going to read this.

No! LOL I do it too.

If the answer is too long... whether it's good or not... I usually give it a thumbs down just so Y!A will automatically "collapse" the answer so i don't have to scroll past it. That's extremely handy for those "copy & paste" answerers who paste practically the entire bible as their answers.

Some answers are WAY too long. I lose interest after the first couple of paragraphs.

If the first paragraph is not interesting then I don't read any further.

I read sometimes, depending of the topic but yeah...some people needto cut down on the lenght of their questions...its like novels in everyother question..

Negative, there are countless others out there who think they are witty, yet lack the intellectual depth to understand what others mean. Congrats!
