A love that seems to come from outside of us is really the search for love that is finally found within. Naturally, this outside love will come and go, and when it goes, it breaks the heart. (I'm sorry for that)

If you are able to accept and embrace absolutely everything about yourself, you'll find this to be a sweet surrender in which love is found to be sourced from within yourself and reflected in others as if they were mirrors for your love.

The difference is that there is no longer any attachment to the idea of love coming from the other, there is only gratitude and appreciation. There is no need to keep the other in your experience since everyone and everything is your reflection. The cool breeze that kisses your face is your lover. The beauty of the rose is your love. The wonder of an endless starry night is your love. Nothing is separate from you, or other than love itself. Never can it be lost.

haha yeh pretty much!! it's weird because it goes completely against our survival instinct to save 'number one'... love makes us do things that are almost totally against our human nature sometimes!!! :P but i still don't understand why we do it...
just to be irritating theres different types of love... all which seem to be another part of our human nature: looking at
1. Romantic love (eros) there is something we can get direct pleasure out of (sex!) but not just that, so many couples will happily pass up time to spend with friends to be with their partner, so this could be seen as a self centred love... but in the context of unrequited love, its kind of like agape (see below - 3.)
2.But friendship love (philos) is a bit different... because from some points of view,do not provide that sort of gain (theres no physical pleasure at least) but there is a huge 'fullfillingness' having a great friend, as it provides honesty between two people of who they are etc (if its real friendship) if that makes sense, apart from the 'feel good' notion, which u dont always get, speshly if u try to do something out of love for a friend (philos) and they throw it back in your face!!!
3. i think 'agape' the unconditional love is the most insane, coz, although it is an amazing quality to have, i imagine its very emotionally draining to constantly search for motivation, especially in a world like this! (but when love is unrequited, the motivation is often eros)
but as with all love, there is a massive emotional cost, and even though it goes against our survival instinct, love seems to still be and inbuilt thing!
reading back on that, there was absolutely no reason to give such a long winded answer.... meh! oh well im brushing up on my question answering skills?!

Love is the herd instinct. It is the power of unity. When a group understands this and contributes, they don't need all the elaborate and tricky contracts. They benefit each other and all are made stronger in a very efficient manner. It is an instinct that is also rational.

I would say instead of 'to be mad to love' 'to be in love' that is a natural emotion. A loving relationship doesn't make us a foolish one (mad)!

love in the way we use the word from day to day usage means more like very much, but in terms of a partner the relationship needs to be more altruistic than love based otherwise the ego gets in the way of things and arguments happen instead of constructive conversations, love as in love struck and other such love is much more infatuation and isblinding as to who they really are. i don't like the word love as it is used to loosly in everyday language but their isnt realy a good alternative but I do prefer loving kindness which is a altruistic form of love towards everyone
