(1) Do you think he should get away with that, in court?

(2) Do you think it would change people's minds about his being gay, if he should succeed? (In other words, do you think many people would be gullible enough to fall for that?)

BTW -- I have no ax to grind, personally, on this issue, since I'm "straight." However, as an egalitarian ALLY of the gay community, and a defender of their right to have across-the-board access to EQUAL rights (including totally-harmless same-sex-marriage), I **loathe** Senator Craig's blatant HYPOCRISY. Which is why I wonder how you feel about the above two questions.

I don't see why it's an issue, he should be proud to be what he is, and it shouldn't matter in his job. These people staunchly opposed to homosexuality really are hypocrites.

In regards to your questions:

1 - I don't think he should be able to withdraw his plea, although I don't think it should have any impact on his career.

2 - I would hope not, but I'm sure some will fall for it.

His charge was minor compared to congress and corp.
power and greed corruption.

But his panic to accept the charges in the first place, give
question if we need his decision making in congress, as the
total makes him look like a fool, to say the least.

He is not embarrassed that he is gay, only that he was trying to have sex in a men's bathroom.

Money and power are more important to him than bones in back yard.
