Please give in full detail and where it came from. I am a Muslim and a former Born-again Christian. I am just wondering do Christians not obey the Bible if its their Holy Book?

If the Old Testament is considered void, then the 10 commandments doesn't apply too because it was given to Moses of the Old Testament

When Christ came by His life, death, and resurrection He fulfilled the law. He completed it. Thus we are no longer under the rules of the law. The pertinent verses are below. Christ said He did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it. He said the law would not pass away until all was fulfilled. With His life and death He fulfilled the law. Thus I can enjoy a nice serving of bacon.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Just a bit of an addition to those saying this means homosexuality is not wrong then. Homosexuality was condemned under the new covenant as well.

1Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans 1:26 For this cause, God gave them up to dishonorable affections. For even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature.
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another; males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting for their error.

You say the 10 commandments are void. I will not list all the verses because they are scattered throughout the New Testament. However every one of the 10 commandments except honoring the sabbath was reinstated in the New Testament.

The command to not eat anything that is unclean in Leviticus was changed by God Himself when he told Peter that everything under the sun is clean. Now, this was to show Peter that salvation was for every people. The Gentiles ate pork and Peter was judgung them for eating pork. God showed Peter that eating pork does not defile a man. I believe that pork is still not a healthy meat to eat so as a Christian I eat as little pork as possible.

True Christians don't eat pork! in leviticus 11:7 says it cleary and those who claim jesus did away with that are wrong read Mattew 5:17

and
to the person above me, some of jesus's desciples didnt wash their hands before they ate and the jews found this impure and were critisizing jesus's desciples so he said""its not what goes into a mans mouth that makes him unclean, its what comes out of a mans mouth that makes him unclean."

Not all of it.

Its a good thing too, because then they would behave similarly to many Muslims in the Middle east, who think it is OK to kill others as punishment for disbelief.

In reality, society has evolved beyond religious belief in most of the western world, and that has allowed us live, more fulfilling, safer lives.

Reliance on religious text for morals and law, leads to torture and death, which can be seen in countries that adhere strictly to religious teaching for law.

I would rather be caught steeling candy in Canada, than in Iran, because Canadians have western societal morals that dictate punishment vs, holy text.

Matt B> so does that mean that the old testament arguments against homosexuality are not valid too? Because you cannot say invalid here but still valid there

If you were a former "born again" Christian you would not need to ask this question.

They believe that when Jesus came that the old covenant no longer applies to them.

Instead of jumping through all of the hoops of the old testament laws they just have to believe in Jesus, and they will be saved.

Anyone who believes in Jesus, the bible, or any other holy writing (or the characters described in them) is delusional.

Wake up people!

Because it's just a book of mythology. They pick and choose which passages they want to live by on a daily basis.
Christianity is, after all, the epitome of the saying "do as I say, not as I do."

The old ways have been swept away, according to the Redeemer (Jesus). The prohibition on eating pork was proven unnecessary.
