Yea, it's not good for the baby (not sure why, ask your doctor). Most doctors would say a small dose, like one pop a day, would be fine.
Caffeine also causes dehydration, and if you are experiencing morning sickness you are proabably slightly dehydrated all ready.

There is no proof that caffenine has bad effects on baby but they suggest you do not drink it. My doctor told me if I drank a cup of pop a day though it wouldn't hurt anything so if you drink a can of coke you have nothing to worry about. Look how many of us pregnant women eat chocolate...that has caffenine in it and it never harmed a baby that I know of.

It should be consumed in moderation, as with most other things. I think it only becomes a problem if the mother has high blood pressure. But, my sister (who has 5 kids) told me to try drinking warm coke for morning sickness. So, it's one of those things that might work, might not. Just depends on what works for you. I stopped consuming anything with caffeine in it when I found out I was pregnant just because I started having trouble sleeping. Talk to your doc about it at your next appointment and he or she can advise you on what you should do.

In moderation, it's fine. I was a full on caffeine addict when I got pregnant the first time, but when I stopped drinking my coffee and tea, I came down with monster withdrawal headaches! When I told my doctor, she said a cup or two of tea, coffee or soda was fine and wouldn't hurt the baby.

It can be really hard on the baby and its almost like they gothrough caffeine withdrawals after birth. But try caffeine free? If that's all that helps with morning sickness, do what you gotta do until the morning sickness passes and then don't drink it anymore.

Every thing that is not fresh from the ground is bad for you (so *they* say) With that being said, i did drink the half caf coffee (most of the time) while preggo, and my daughter turned out fine. I would say just cut down on the amount you drink. Best of luck.

It is. One coke wont hurt anything, but dont drink it all day.
Caffeine keeps you from absorbing calcium, and from metabolizing enzymes, and synthesizing things like folic acid and other b vitamins. If you dont have them, baby doesnt have them.
Besides, the raise in BP caused from caffeine restricts oxygen flow to the placenta, it doesnt starve baby of air, but it does reduce the exchange.

You need to limit your intake for sure. As long as your healthy it should be OK. You should talk to your Dr. If you start to gain to much weight or get high blood pressure you should be careful. Thankfully, morning sickness only lasts for a couple of months and then you won't need that pop.

Wow, Coke will probably not make your morning sickness go away...yuck. :)
It is okay to have caffeine in pregnancy, just not a lot per day.
One Coke won't hurt you, unless you have pre-existing medical conditions that would make caffeine taboo for you, or if your doc has advised otherwise.
