Yes, I do have a thing against Mormons. But that doesn't mean I'm wrong about them. Look it up for yourself. You'll see.

Lex: Sorry but no. It came from the Book of Abraham..."saw the stars, that they were very great, and that one of them was nearest unto the throne of God;....and the name of the great one is Kolob, because it is near unto me, for I am the Lord thy God: I have set this one to govern all those which belong to the same order as that upon which thou standest." (Book of Abraham 3:2-3.)

First off, we don't believe this. Yes just because you have a thing against Mormons doesn't always mean you're wrong. But in this case, you are dead wrong.

This thing about Mormons believing God resides on a planet called Kolob and will one day get their own planet came from a guy named Ed Decker and his group of pals called "Saints Alive".

Let me tell you about Mr Ed Decker. He was excommunicated from the church for adultry and hated the church ever since. When asked about why he obviously misrepresents Mormon beliefs, he proportedly replied "Anything for the Lord." So he admits to lying. Yet you guys still quote him more than the Bible.

Do you think you could learn Algebra before knowing how to multiply, add or subtract?

One of the lovely "oh those Mormons believe they get their own planet...blah blah blah" questions...
Let me ask you this...do you believe in the Bible? Ok, if you answered no, stop reading. If you answered yes, I would refer you to where we are promised to gain, or inherit, all the Father has and be joint-heirs with Christ, if we live a worthy life. Now, what do you think that includes? If God is all powerful and has everything, would that not also include planets, dominions, powers..etc?
It is a highly misconceived notion by others that we preach we will all be gods over our own planets... that may be a possibility, not a guarantee and not really "taught" because we really just don't have a lot of doctrine ont it.
But, people outside the church or former members like to make up things "they" think are the "truth"...oh well. We know what we believe and so does the Lord and that's all that really matters.

Where in our scriptures that is revealed by God to a Prophet & sustained by the General assembly at a General conference that we are getting a planet?
JOD's, books by GA's, & other books aren't church doctrine.

Do you have a thing against Mormons or something? So what if they think they get a planet, or a whole galaxy for that matter.

All religions are filled with superstitious nonsense.

Singling out Mormonism is a waste of time.

No. It's beacuse science says there are only 9 planets.
That's why when they "discovered" another planet, they had to say Pluto is no longer a planet.
Only so many to go around don't you know!

milk before meat smart guy. yeah I'm pretty sure Paul mentioned that in the bible. which i would know since I've actually read it. i love how you take something completely out of context to satisfy your own false ego and somehow think you are clever.
