700 years ago the Muslims were defeated soundly. Now you may be opposed to the war (police action) in Iraq, I am not all that thrilled with it either, and I will tell you that most soldiers aren't either. A common thought is that we are there for the oil so that some guys can get richer. That simply does not hold water. It is about oil and the control of all of the oil in the mid east. China is going to need more and more every year now, we aren't told this but the truth is that with the growth of China and the need for oil are like a hand in a glove. If we walk away then this is what will happen. All of the Muslim nations (there are eight of them) will join together and the US will not be able to buy oil from them at any price. Their oil is going to be mortgaged to China. So to say it is about oil is correct but it isn't about Iraqi oil but about all of the oil in the Mideast.
You have referred to the Iraq thing as the Crusade. A better question might be, "would you rather fight there or here?" It isn't logical to assume that they think like we do." We haven't flown planes into another country and done billions of dollars in damage to them with the intent on killing a bunch of men, women, and children that are Innocent orf anything and are just trying to go about there lives. It was Muslims that didn this. You are going to say that these Muslims had nothing to do with it,.....Oh really? Then I would tell you that you need to study the Middle East much more closely. You also need to start to listen to news blogs out side of the USA who have by admission admitted that they don't report out the news correctly, you can be a puppy dog and wag your tail only because an American GI has given you that right. If we can keep our forces in Iraq and keep the pressure up we will beat them again like 700 years ago.

Actually the Crusades were highly successful against the Mohammedans. If not for the Crusades, all of Europe would have been Islamic within a couple of decades. And by extension, so would North and South America and Australia, since they would have been settled by Islamic Europeans.
