I am christian and I was brought up to not celebrate halloween..my dad was always so strict. Now that I am older and live on my own, I celebrate it by handing out candy. I decorate, but not really halloween decorations..more so fall decorations... halloween isn't a big deal to me-I celebrate the season of fall.

It is a delightful event for children and even adults play into it with their kids. Don't read into it for something it is not. It has been celebrated for many years, don't take the fun out of it. It is an American tradition passed on from one generation to the next. Yes I am a Christian.

Halloween is intended to make fun of Medieval thinking. We don't believe in witches and ghosts and goblins anymore. Now, we just laugh about it.

Happy New Year!
The veils between worlds are lifted!
The ones that have come before us are near and enlighten us. Then the energies are renewed. The harvests have been stored and to thank the Goddess for her love and protection.
Happy Samhain everyone!

I think it's a fun holiday that shouldn't be taken too seriously and is a great day for kids to play dress up-(okay, maybe grown ups, too;)

I always found it fun for my kids and me, that was before the Atheists got ahold of it and turned it demonic and godless.

I stay far away from it as a Christian.

It is demonic in nature and NOT a very Christ-like holiday to celebrate.

And for those who may try to shove the "Well, Christmas is pagan in nature too" argument at me.......don't even try.

Christmas is all about Christ

Halloween is like Christmas and Easter, all of which are pagan holidays.

I love this.

ALL HALLOW's EVE. Is followed by ALL SAINT's Day.

But the Xians want nothing to do with it. They know nothing of their own belief system but rather follow the leaders of it blindly. SEE THIRD RESPONSE ABOVE.
