Ah, this is where you're going to hear about free will. So, instead of using abused babies as an example, because the abuse is not being done by god, how about getting an explanation for natural disasters that kill thousands--there's no free will involved there.

God gave man the gist of free will and if he interfered he would be taking that gift away. Man chooses to do these things not God, So what does god do then you may ask?
Look at the child laws and child protection services that save hundreds of kids lives every year. There are orphanages to take in abused and abandoned kids. This is God pulling on the hearts of mankind to right its own wrongs. Is not a baby found alive in a dumpster after a cold night a miracle. That that child has a chance and the services to really give life a shot

You forgot to ask allah, or the wiccan god ,or the scientologist ,or even an atheist god maybe they could be the one behind it all. Man has a free will and evil comes from many a heart and led by satan not God . Now because God allows some crap to happen does'nt say he approves thier are consequnces for evil actions

You are sinning by making God's good gifts into bad.
The fact that God has given us free will does not mean that he tells us to misuse this gift.
Thus he has promised that everybody will be paid back their sins -- even if it is just sinning by word of mouth! So take a care!
God can repair any damage caused by any human. However, the evil one will have no such hope -- only the hope of eternal sleep.

God gave the human race free will. Whatever you do evil, God will repay, in this life! Woe be it to people who abuse babies. I would not want to have that on my resume when God asks Why!

God allows good and bad things to happen, but is not directly responsible for any of them. That's the nature of free will. God, out of love, created us in His own image and likeness, with free will and moral capacity. We alone are responsible for the decisions of free will we make. Free will would be meaningless if God said "I give you the power to choose between good and evil, but whenever you choose evil I'll jump in and make sure nobody gets hurt". You can't have it both ways. If you want to be free, then take responsibility. Don't blame God for the evil things that people freely choose to do. Or, if you want God to take responsibility, then surrender your free will and become a mere animal ruled by instinct.

Man in his effort to hide from G-d, chooses to harm fellow beings. G-d set us free to choose good or evil. He doesn't interfere in daily life. Pray for strength, not wishes, and pray for those who are abused, that their suffering will end soon and they can lead better lives.
Oh, and report abusers to the police. Too many people ignore situations that could be prevented. We have to be Angels.

It is because of man's sin that "the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together" (Romans 8:22).

Ignorant question i will be glad to answer. God doesent allow these things....these things are cause by us and our sin and refusal to follow his ways. How many more opportunities must God give? Now its on us....free will to choose the patch of righteousness or the path of sin which ultimately leads to well you know where.
