I see you folks are passionate about this, but keep in mind, I am not talking about myself, I personally think it's rather foolish and selfish for someone to do that knowingly.

I wouldn't marry someone who was illegal. I think it takes a particular type of mindset to be able to overlook criminal activity, and I don't have it.

I have personal experience here since I married an illegal.
My husband came to the states with a visitor Visa for six months. During those six months we met and fell very much in love. When his visa was about to expire I decided that I would move to his country with him, and I did. We were there for several months-and it was okay-but I was very home sick and a bit culture shocked. So he applied for another Visa and we returned to the U.S. This visa expired six moths later, I was now pregnant with our daughter and neither of us wanted to go back- especially to mediocre medical care. So he overstayed his Visa essentially making him 'illegal',
Now we are married with a child and are still going through the long, tedious, and expensive immigration process.
But the right to marry whoever I want is mine. The Constitution protects my right to marry who I choose. I believe that we need an immigration reform to stop over population and to provide legal status for those that are here to build a life-and to get all of who are guilty of crimes of moral turpitude out.

As long as you are marrying for love and are prepared to live with them in their country I see no problem with it. Getting married to obtain a green card=bad. Getting married because you are in love and want your spouse to live in the US legally=good.

People can marry whoever they want. It's none of anyones business who people want to have a relationship with. There are people who actually fall in love, not everybody is out to get the green-card.Those who are,I have a problem with.

You (anyone) marry who you love. Is love illegal? Is wanting to be happy illegal or selfish?
Not too long ago it was illegal for blacks and whites to intermarry. Would that have stopped you from marrying the person you love if he/she was from the opposite race?

I think you should marry who ever on this planet you fall in love with. My family comes before any law. But if you do it just to get paid off thats different.

I think you both belong in jail! And then the illegal needs to be deported. Why don't you marry him/her and move back to their country, instead of breaking the law by being here illegally?
