Do not drink after one another. Keep anything that goes into your mouth, away from one another. Use separate toothpaste tubes if you drag you brush across the end of the tube like we do. My Husband and I have separate tubes.

Do not hug or kiss someone who does not feel well. If you can tell that someone else seems sick, (like at church) do not hug them, just say you think you are catching a cold and do not want to make them sick.

Wash your hands many times during the day. Keep a pump soap at your kitchen sink for frequent hand washing and of course in all bathrooms.

Hydrogen peroxide used at a mouthwash will help enormously or an antibacterial mouthwash used daily.
I have not had a cold in years because of these practices.
Even though my Husband and Granddaughter have had colds around me.

Tooth paste tube should be OK. Care in hand washing and pots and cutlery are things to watch.
