Well once 3 Sunni Muslims attacked and tried to rob me for being a Kaffur outside College.
I have also been verbally attacked by Muslims for being a Christian, they assumed I was Christian because I am white. This happened many times.
I am a Deist the small amounts of persecution I have endured are not because I am a Deist. They're because I am not what others want me to convert too.
So if being beaten spat on and threatened with knives counts as persecution, then yes I have been, if it's cheapening the word then I apologise.

As an atheist I don't feel persecuted. As for the mocking.... I'm yet to be mocked in a truly witty way, until I am.... I'll consider myself more intelligent that those that get mocked and cry " Persecution "
The so called persecution that goes on here is nothing compared to what people have to, have been and will have to put up with in the real world.
People can call me names, say anything they like about me.
In the real world Myself and my Family are Healthy, safe and free form the dangers of true persecution.
I'm atheist, yes. I don't go around yelling it from the roof tops. If people ask I will tell them. I only use the term here all the time for clarification and identification purposes

Not persecuted, just misunderstood.
As an Atheist, I don't take religious ferver as persecution, unless I am physically harmed.
When Christians claim I am going to be tortured forever by a loving God, I find it a bit funny, because it doesn't make sense.
When I am mocked by Christians, I know that they have been conditioned to hate by their scriptures, so I try and cut them a little slack, but also try and show them why the religion doesn't really make sense, and isn't really as advertised.

In all reality, I am somewhat of a target because of my beliefs. The vast majority of my country hold a certain religious belief that I can't buy into. Fortunately, I work with people who are rather intelligent and highly educated, so my working day not affected, but should I ever decide to run for office I may as well fund myself and set fire to my campaign funds, the money would be wasted either way. Morals, values, sound decision making skills, and intelligence are always trumped by faith when it comes to the masses. It will take Rudy G getting into office and sending us to war with everyone on the other side of the planet before people start to realize that religious belief and scare tactics do not make good leaders, they just put good con-men in positions of authority.

Ummmm sort of.
Do I feel it on a daily basis? No. Not really. It's not something that comes up.
I suppose it would be much more accurate to say I FEAR persecution much more then I experience it. And I fear it for my children not myself. I live in a small Texas, VERY Baptist Christian town. It can get ugly even for other Christians here. I don't even want to know what they would think with me. LOL
No I do not consider anything on R&S to be persecution. They can't hurt me. They don't know where I live. Most of the ugliness is based on pure ignorance here. Nothing more.

I asked a question like this once. It seems ridiculous that some Christians consider petty insults and name-calling to be "persecution." It just cheapens the word, because there are people who have historically truly suffered for their beliefs (not just Christianity)/lack of beliefs.
In answer to your question: no, I've never felt "persecuted" and I'm a Christian.

confident. i've got been snubbed by way of countless the agency proprietors interior the small city the place I chosen to purchase the 2nd homestead ever outfitted right here. most of the persons are Catholic. the main important construction on the city sits on the utmost hill & could be seen from a pair of miles away; it rather is the Catholic church, first one ever outfitted right here. i've got been laid off for nebulous motives from 4 places of employment now, even however I artwork circles around most of the others there. This after truthfully answering questions from co-workers approximately attending church, that's none of their agency besides, and being invited to attend their church, which I with courtesy decline. human beings look to mistrust absolutely everyone who would not faux to a pair style of religion. it rather is exceptionally much as though they might't fathom a functioning being that would not have self assurance in a greater physically powerful skill of a few form. i might probable have been better off mendacity & asserting i'm a Hindu.

Not as much now a days.
I looked at it this way, they are jealous because they wish they had the nerve to walk away from false doctrines they are preached. They know that much of the info in their holy books is not consistant or correct and have lead them to question their own beliefs. Also, they are more afraid of what their friends in church will say or will be ostricized for leaving and changing to another religion.
I live in the "BIBLE belt" and we are now just starting to be accepted, but those "holy rollers" still are determined to convert us or avoid us as well as call us things not associated with our beliefs. I even have Xian friends that have me come and cleanse their homes and even ask me to come to see if they have spirits in their homes and such. I have even noticed an incline in converts to Paganism in the past 6 yrs! Go figure...
Blessed be and Peace

I believe nothing, since a belief is an idea accepted astrue without proof. I am an atheist, and some of my relatives are down on me, particularly my oldest sister and Mom's older sister. They act as if "Atheist" is an obscene word. Christians in general lie about atheists, even if one of the Ten Commandments forbids bearing false witness.
