My parents were never religious people, but I started believing in the Christian religion on my own at 12 years old. At 16 I started going with my friend to a very intellectual Calvinistic church, very well attended, and was extremely social. I learned a lot about "fellowship" and an intellectual approach to the Bible and Christianity, but it all but killed the sense of wonder that I had previously when expressing my faith alone. Then I went to a Baptist college (because of the scholarship, not the religion) and pretty much renounced faith in all forms of belief in anything for many years. Now, at 29, I am seeing the good that belief systems can be for people, I still believe each person has his or her own truth, now I want to believe like I used to because it helped me to do the right thing and act in peace. The last ten or more years have been chaos and I know it's because there was not a foundation, that I was like a coin that went hand to hand, just looking for the next adventure or next good thing. I do not regret any of those moments but now I am ready to return to my origin. I know my truth is out there but I'm not convinced yet and am seeking very much. (Hence the screen name)

Age 16 I still claimed Catholicism but did not attend church or practice the religion. At this age I was unconcerned with religion and spirituality although deep down did not beleive.

Now, at age 20, I am an atheist and realize that I probably have been all along.

16 - went to church 3 times a week, was a Christian but was having a hard time believing it all.

30 - agnostic atheist. I don't think any religion has it right, but I think the possibility of a higher being of some sort may have played a role in our lives.

I'm a Badger now and was a Badger then.

But for a few odd exceptions, all Badgers know the tale of Seytnurr the Iron Badger who first carved out the sky, and will return when he finishes digging out the Universe.

At 16 I was still listening to my parents and considered myself Jewish. Now that I am 30, I have gone my own way and found myself to feel more comfortable being Eclectic.

I called myself a Catholic, but that was also the year I really began to question what I believed. I had never been comfortable with it, anyway. The resulting journey, over the next several years, ended with my confirmed apostasy. I'm 52 now, and still an atheist.
