No,

They should leave their jobs if they cant completely do it all.

According to Shariah that would be a mistrust of a contract.

Salam

No, they are not purchasing the item and if they find it morally unsettling, they can find another job, however if they owned the store there is nothing to say that they have to carry those products.

I respect that people have different beliefs, but there is a fine line about how those fit into the interactions with others on a business level.

There is also a point where a "moral" should be applied to others and where it should not. Basically this should be a division of laws that help society and the individual morals of the individual.

No way, I think that is taking it to the extreme.

If the person has that much of a issue with it, then he/she should consider looking for another profession. But being a Muslim, especially in a western country, wherever you go, there will always be instances like that.

I work in a women's clothing shop, and on many occasions I have to serve customer that want to wear provocative clothing. Sometimes I do feel guilty, but in the back of my mind I know that it is their choice to wear what they do. I try to have as positive of an influence as possible, and try to dress them modestly, but it all comes down to Allah's will.

The only way I'd refuse to do my job, is if it ever came into conflict with my Islamic beliefs and caused me to stray away from my deen. Otherwise, my job doesn't pose a huge problem in my life.

Everyone has free will, and the right to choose how to live their life. All that Allah (s.w.t) has given me the power to do is to set an example by being the best Muslim that I can be;
inshaAllah through this way I can show women the importance of modesty.

Sorry, but no. When a person is hired to do a job, they have to leave their own opinions at the door and do as their employers want them to or risk losing their job. If they can't do the tasks involved in this job because of something like religious beliefs or personal morals, they shouldn't apply for it to begin with.

Absolutely not. If someone takes a job, then that person is bound to carry out the duties of that job or find another job. We are not some barbaric, savage country run under shari-a. Nor, for that matter, are we to give out special higher status to members of a certain religion over others.

If they want to live somewhere that Muslims get higher status and extra rights and exemptions over everyone else, they are free to move to another country. In the USA, if you take a job, you have to carry out the duties of that job or find another one.

It is NOT right for us to kowtow to any religion over any other religion.

If it is against their belifs then they should not go to work for the store selling those products.
It is similar to a vegan working in a slaughter house as a butcher.

As a boss, I should be able to fire them for not performing their job.

Next thing you will be saying is that Bob Jones University should be able to prevent blacks from dating whites because of Bob Jones' beliefs.

Of course not.
They are paid to do a job. If they can't do that job then they shouldn't be working there at all.

Same as the catholics working in pharmacies. Seriously bad idea.

I say they should get a different job. Perhaps they would be heretics to work in a store that sells such things?

If they carry in their stores in the first place, the "damage" is done, isn't it?
