Just curious because I read "Atheist choose to believe which part they want to believe. Atheist are what is called ..floaters.
Disturbing, living off of, being a nooseants to people.
What fun their life must be..huh?"

What the heck is a floater? Where can I go to live off of others so I can quit my job and stop paying taxes? And finally, where can I find a nooseant anyway?

For those who don't get it, I'm keeping my job. I'm poking fun at the person who gave the quote. Smarties.

aaawww, c'mon Ms. Kitty...she's probably home from school today and just bored, so she thought she would come play with the grown-ups....

shannon: so you are saying that God's creation is evil? what church do YOU go to?

shannon2 below me: i am not an atheist or a follower of anyone but Jesus Christ...WHO ARE YOU to judge? when Jesus DOES come again, a lot of you so called christians that run around calling people evil and telling them they are going to hell are going to be in for a very RUDE AWAKENING.

I happened to see that answer, and just had to shake my head. I worked in the medical field for a while, and was a "floater". I basically filled in for anyone who needed coverage in any department. I was never considered a "nooseant" that I'm aware of, but then again, I'd have to know what exactly that was before I could honestly state that as a fact. Disturbing? Well, I suppose I can be disturbing at times. As to "living off of people", I have spent nealry every day of my adult life (and a few years before that) working hard, paying taxes, providing for my family, and even donating to charity when I am financially able.
I just hate that I don't fit into that stereotype, but yeah, my life is pretty damned fun for the most part, and I've worked very hard to get here.

Who do I live off of? I thought having a full time job and paying my bills was normal. What the heck is a nooseants?
A nuisance?? LOL.
I was a floater once when I worked in an educational daycare...I went from classroom to classroom to fill in for people who were out sick or needed extra help with the kids. Wow-what a nuissance I was then!

LOL
That little chickie was wrong. "Agnostics" are the ones often thought of as the "floaters" or fence-sitters as far as religions and beliefs are concerned. But although I don't believe in a big god with a beard and a staff and a throne sitting up in heaven judging us, I do believe in OTHER things of a supernatural or spiritual nature, so I can't be an atheist.

I don't know if there's a god, but I do really feel like my grandmother comes to give me guidance sometimes, so, whether some hate agnostics or not ... I don't really give a rat's patootie. I believe what I believe and that's that!

Cheers.

I've been working a real job since I was 12 and paying taxes since I was 15.
I have never heard floater used to describe a person, so I am not sure.

The Church seems to be the entity that is able to live off others and not pay taxes..

I saw that, too. Didn't make much sense to me--I could see (while I wouldn't agree) where an agnostic could be called a "floater", but atheists seem to be pretty firm on what they hold to be true.

Of course, that's assuming that this was a metaphor for saying their opinions blow this way and that in the wind--but maybe the person was just referring to a loogie or a dead body in the river?

Floater means someone who is adaptable enough to go with the flow and survive.

Then you go on to say you wish you were a leach.

If given the choice between adaptability and parasite, I'd choose adaptability any time...

By the way, the word you keep looking for is nuisance.

No clue, just like many believers this one has swallowed and totally accepted what they were told about atheist, without questioning it or researching it.

I wonder if we could resurrect the myth about horns, but rather than Jews, we could say atheists have them. I'd bet that in a year or two a good portion of the christian community would believe it.

I especially like "Atheist choose to believe which part they want to believe." Which part of what? This person is apparently thinking of Christians, who pick and choose what they like from the Bible and ignore the rest. Atheists are free to disregard the whole thing for the relic of Bronze Age savagery that it is.

As for the rest of it, typical idiotic, illiterate drivel.

it is a typo... is was suppose to be problem.
And a floater doesn't mean LAZY. You are just floating around creating problem for people. Like you are tying to do now.
Living off of people insecurities. about God. Trying to convince them that there is no God. If there wasn't a God, well then you wouldn't be here!! You will see ...remember me when you stand in front if God.
There there wasn't satan there wouldn't be Atheist. You are proof that evil is real. So if there is evil =satan. Then good= God. They go hand in hand
God Bless
