That's a very interesting question, and I think everyone missed the "At first impression" part of the question, however, I believe most people would not follow at first impression, because people have a tendancy to believe that short people have no use, power or influence. In truth, I probably would follow Jesus if he was short (assuming I would've followed him anyway, of course), but only because I am a short person who has also been placed into leadership positions at times, and I know what it's like.

True leaders are rarely short though there are short leaders like Napoleon for instance.

Christ was blessed with good health and looks which was also one of the reasons why he had so many followers. More than the physical appearance, what matters are the words and actions that Jesus spoke and did. Also how he spoke them or did his 'miracles'. It is apparent that he spoke in parables and he spoke very well, mesmerizing all who cared to listen.

Truly, Christ became a rage because he was perfect at all this...looks, words and actions.

This is why he was humiliated on the cross, made speechless be denying him food and water and by challenging him to do an 'escape' act (miracle) which he restrained from doing.

If he had done this miracle, all humans would have been his followers and most would definitely be following him for his 'powers' rather than his ideals.

Charisma comes from within, not from physical appearances. I don't think Mahatma Gandhi, Napoleon or Hitler looked the part of physically persuasive people. Charismatic people have ways of reaching, without relying or despite outward appearances!

Jesus would certainly get my attention, but not because of how tall or how short he might have been.

Hmm, I guess it depends on if I was blind, lame, sick etc...

It's only the sick that need a doctor...

spiritually, we're all sick.

and technically, scripture (Isaiah 53:1-3) describes him thus:

"he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men"

I agree with his teachings, so his physical stature wouldn't matter to me. There is a tradition that says he was unattractive (based on a verse in Isaiah), but no physical descriptions of him have survived.

What difference does it make what size Jesus is?????

All you have to do is follow him for his heart and what he did for you.

Why is everyone so fascinated with size, colour, race, height, weight etc etc/????

THE HEART IS ALL THAT COUNTS
