I believe that we are in the process of setting the stage for the coming of the Lord Jesus. I believe that this is the generation to see the coming of Christ. Some look at the last days as the time of tribulation, if that is what you mean, we are not in that yet, but it is coming soon. For me, I believe in the rapture, therefore, before the tribulation begins, the church (followers of Christ) will be raptured to be with Christ, then the tribulation will begin. You are right though, the wars in the middle east and around the world all stem in some way involvement of Israel. God tells us that all the nations will go against Israel. To different extremes, none the less, against Israel. The USA participates in this by its pushing to divide Israel, even though we do lean at protecting them as a nation, we want them to give away the land God gave to them, which is also foretold in the Bible that would happen. There is one war that comes before Armageddon, that is the war with Gog and Magog, better know as Russia and Islamic invasion of Israel. Then comes Armageddon, then comes our Lord Jesus. All the flooding, earthquakes, fammine, etc., will get worse. As for the statements about wars, etc. have alsways happened we just hear due to technology, well, that falls under knowledge will increase, still foretold in the Bible.

I think we may be - because God told us so many of these things would happen. He said when we see these things we should know that it is near "even a the door"
How much more and worse things are yet to come, we don't know. But there are some things that can really give clues.

And the Bible says too, the the wise will understand.
And that we do not need to be in darkness so that the day comes on us like a thief.

quite i might say that's the worst of circumstances. think of ab out it what's going to now we've in the present day: a million. Terrorism- It has long gone worldwide dazzling worry into the guts of mankind. 2. Nuclear armed rogue states- with the means to wreck hundreds of thousands with a button, Iran and North Korea connect the ranks of nuclear powers. Unfortunatly neither united states of america has any rational sane guy or woman working the tutor. Who'se have been given the button? 3. Human rights violations and attrocities at an all time severe. Warloards around the globe take from the adverse and shop for themselves and the worldwide as an entire sits via and merely watches. evidence no one quite cares sufficient to become in touch. 4. worldwide area destruction- another creature lives in cohesion with it is area.... different than human beings. As of dazzling now the earth is the worst it has ever been by way of our mismanagement. worldwide warming is on the upward thrust, hundreds of thousends of satalites muddle the orbit of the earth. not in basic terms have we poluted the earth with our trash yet now we are doing it to outerspace. 5. non secular zealots are at an all time severe- inflicting strife amoungst the populas. Inciting human beings to do evil issues. i ought to circulate on in spite of the undeniable fact that it is a waste of my time and it slow to study it. BTW i'm not a christian , I merely calls em like i sees em. As a armed forces soldier i for my area do not see this "peacfull circumstances" the question asker is putting forward. seems to me that we are residing interior the main threatening non-peacful circumstances in human historical past.

Afraid I don't agree.... Yes, we are closer then in Biblical times, but, there are yet more to come before that occurs... and one major prophecy hasn't been finished yet...the Temple hasn't been re-built yet....it is still in the planning stages.

**Many disagree about when Tribulation will occur... I myself take the literal view that we Believers will not be lifted up till after the 7 years of Tribulation when the AntiChrist will be here...THEN Jesus will return to cast Satan into bondage for 1,000 years while Jesus rules upon the earth, then, satan will be let loose, full of vengeance and devastation the world has never known will be had, then, the 144,000 of the tribes of Judah will walk the earth fighting satan and doing great wonders till satan is forever conquered and cast into the pit of fire along with every follower of his-those whom do not have their name in the Book of Life-and all principalities, False Prophet, and Anti-Christ, forever more. Then, the world will be renewed, with a New Jerusalem and all survivors with their name in the Book of Life will reside there with God, and will share the inheritance with Jesus-Jew and Gentile alike, and the Holy Spirit flowing throughout, forever more....with the tree of life...and upon the pearly looking gates will be the names of the 12 tribes of Judah...

lol, install the 4 horsemen and so on as you wish :)

I have my own hunch that during Tribulation there will be MANY Concentration camps like there are already in Korea and other places...satan seems to love using them...and unbelievers will willingly put the Believers there because of what the Anti Christ will preach....and that means old people and ALL children of the Believers as well as able bodied or the sick....

You do not think that that will ever happen? Like I said, it IS happening in areas around the world...with full knowledge of the cities and neighbors of the people within them. Some of those people on the outside consider themselves "good" people, but, better that someone else is persecuted then yourself or your own loved ones will be put into play... what would YOU choose? Do you think every German, Austrian, etc WANTED the Jews and their families to be hurt? But, when their own persons and family were threatened, they chose survival. Think about it.

There has already been answers to questions about that and I have seen that many here would do the same for survival...

Peace be with you all :)

Matthew 24 is about the Tribulation. The first few verses are about the first 3 1/2 years. So now we are not in the last days. When the saved people are called away to meet Jesus in the air then I would start to worry.

Yes accorrding to Jesus in Matthew 24:3-14

"While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”

4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.

7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.

But the best part is after Armagedon what will Jesus do with this planet is wonderful

We do seem to be nearing the end. There are other things which must take place.
While we keep an eye on these things, be careful not to become consumed by it. Shouldn't we keep doing what we have been told and have learned of? Yes!
To be ALL ABOUT any particular matter is to become unbalanced. A person can be viewed as fanatical if they do, whether it's a particular belief, or a sport like football that they are "all about".
If you are Christian or not, I do not know. Consider it if you are not.
The end is not yet.

Yes, in the last hundred years anyway.

This is from both a religious and a secular point of view.

From the secular point of view it seems that a nuclear holocaust is very likely in the next hundred years as atomic power and knowledge becomes more widespread. Don't let the fact that Osama has softened his stance fool you. There are still Huge numbers of suicide bombers that would fly a nuclear bomb into New York if they had one.

Not to mention "The quickening", also mentioned in the same Book of Revelations. Life has never been in such a pointless frenzy. Frankly, nothing in previous history, however unpleasant, seemed to adequately explain what the term actually meant. Now, one week in New York (or watching CNN for that matter --) and it's obvious to anyone.

So my answer, Christian or not, is "Yes".

Yes, you hit it right on the nose with your reasoning. Compare the CNN nightly news to the book of Revelation and you'll see how deeply in the End Times we are!
