You've got heaven all wrong if you think people like either of those can meet the criteria.
Neither!!!
And it's not a matter of "choosing"....it's a matter of objective judgement.
Hell is not "punishment," it's "consequence." What a person does...marks their hand. What they think...marks their forehead. Heaven WILL be kept...."heavenly."
The stage is set. The players are here. Of those that fail...NONE shall pass!
Five more years and you shall see the truth of it.

History tells us that A. Lincoln reads the Bible often, he trusted in God and led a great nation. I believe I will see him up there some day.

Abraham Lincoln was Christian. Hussein was not.
It has to do with the choices we make while on earth.

Heaven is only for Christ, Krishna, etc who came down from heaven, and all who have reached His level. Remember when Christ said, No one has been to heaven but the son of man who came down from heaven.
Lesser mortals will ofcourse Reincarnate till they are perfected.

The decision about who spends eternity in hell is not about character, doing good or doing evil.
Entrance to heaven is through Jesus Christ. You must believe he is who he said he is and that he died for your sins.Anyone who is willing to acknowledge Jesus died for your sins and you are willing to let him be your king, will be in heaven after death. Anyone who says I am my own boss, I will live as I choose will be in hell after death. It's not about punishment. Heaven is God's kingdom, He rules there. Anyone who doesn't want God to tell them what to do wouldn't be happy in heaven anyway. Hell is where people who are their own God go after they die.

There is no god that chooses people to go to heaven. Heaven is a choice that we make ourselves and can live it each do if we so choose.

It isn't a choice between people like that.
We will all of us be judged individually, by the words that have come out of our mouths, according to whatever measure we have used on others, whether or not we have lived according to and by faith, and what matters, THE ONLY thing that matters, is if Christ knows us.

If I was God, I would take both of them to heaven, for they are my children, and I love them equally. Just like a child who has left home and done things his father would not approve of, is greeted with warmth, welcome, a hug and a smile upon returning to his fathers home after a long absence.
