Actually, I believe you are shown the answers. Bad things happen in life, there's no rule book that says it doesn't. Suffering, bad things? It's called "free will"..
If you don't believe then don't ask. If you think it's silly, that's cool.. I will agree to disagree, respectfully. But if you're not sure, try asking.. but I'm telling you, it won't work if your mind's not open. GL :)

It's not that we don't believe enough! We don't believe....full-stop!!
(I won't make any more comments on your terrible syntax, I think you get the point there now hopefully)
The point is that religious belief is a mental delusion. Like most delusions, it needs to be openly discussed before people like yourselves will be healed.
I wouldn't expect an anorexic to turn around the first time I point out that they aren't actually overweight and say "Oh, yeah. You're right...I'd better go have some pies". They're more likely to come out with the sort of answers that religious people on this site do.....something along the lines of
"Yes I am fat. I know I am because I feel like I am....besides what do you know. You just don't know what a real fat person looks like".
Religion...kick the habit people!!!
Loved your answer Sharmel!!

Millions and millions and millions of people all over the world, who are absolutely strong, devout "believers" in God, pray up a storm for all kinds of things for themselves and loved ones, and do not get what they asked for. They go on dying from cancer, or keep on suffering the consequences of their own destructive behaviours, or not getting the baby they desperately wanted, or having help with terrible life situations, no matter how long and how hard they have prayed for those things. People who not only believe just as much as you say you do, but ten times more.
On the other hand there are millions of a-theists, agnostics, and people who call themselves "believers" but never really go to church or live a particularly religious life, who are successful in whatever they do, live well, are happy, contented and fulfilled, and they've never uttered a single prayer.
Now, what does that tell you? I know what it tells me. It tells me that it doesn't matter whether you pray yourself crosseyed, or never pray at all. You are either going to be lucky in life, lucky in health, lucky in all kinds of things..... or you are going to be one unlucky loser. Some of it has to do with how much that person worked for what he wanted, while a lot of it has to do with just plain, old fashioned lousy luck. Just pure chance that you were born in the wrong part of the world, or had the wrong parents, or couldn't get a good education, or got some terrible health problem that destroyed your opportunity to do what you wanted. It's all a mixture of just chance combined with that person's own mistakes, and mis-steps in life.
If there were the remotest possibility that the "Intervention of God" was a real factor when it comes to a person's success, or failure in life, without a doubt pure statistics would show that devoutly religous people are noticeably, and consistently, healthier, happier and more successful than non-believers. That is simply not the case. Indeed, if anything the opposite is true.

Personally, I don't ask about god, as it long ago became evident there was no such entity! I do question the actions and thought processes of many who profess to believe in a god, however!
You claim you get answers because you believe, and I don't because I do not believe? Interesting, and testable! Ask god something really simple, like what have I got in my pocket? Let me know what he tells you, and if he gets it right, I may start believing myself - what a triumph that would be for you, eh?

People ask questions because they are not sure (1) or because they want to make others think better on a topic (2)
I don't ask questions to learn about god, for I don't believe anybody can tell me. I ask questions to learn what other people believe

We ask others about god because we are usually interested to know about their beliefs. But no one can give you an answer to what god is, its up to you whether you are a believer or not.

we are all looking for personal truth, what most folk don't realize though is that we will only ever find that within ourselves, for ourselves, it is not selfish we are all designed for it.
The legacy you leave behind is proof of it's existence, if your family believe in things you say and carry on tradition because of things you have done, it's all the evidence you need. Our unconsciousness holds the wisdom of our ansestors, how many times do you learn something only to realize you knew it 'deep down'? keep digging and there you will find your truth, the answers are all there.

Your question is typical of the bible stories that, when they were first conceived, were minus the commas, full stops, and other punctuation and therefore the meanings got all mixed up and Jesus had to take the blame and was crucified for it.
Take notice and learn from others.

A strong belief in anything will spur you on to achievement. It doesn`t matter whether it is in God or making a fortune. Your karma is your karma and no amount of praying is going to change it. The only way to change it is to change your patern of thinking. Its a great shame that we don`t have rehab for christians, like we do for other drug users.

I tried and tried to have a conversation with Santa - strangely never got a response from either. Finding this strange I tried looking for evidence and found none.
Belief does not change the truth or the facts.
