When your child is about 8 yrs old what kind of afterschool programs can he get into and where can i find them

My son is 8 yrs old and i need to find an afterschool program I don't mind paying but where can I get this kind of information

at his school call them and ask it will cost you though or call daycares and see if you can find one with an older kids after school program

We have a few options here that I have seen advertised. The local daycare will watch school age kids (up to age 12) before and after school. A lady who is in charge of one of the preschool programs also runs an after school program at a local church. I think there is also a program run by the YMCA in town, maybe actually at one of the schools. Maybe you could ask around at any of the places I mentioned.

I'm not sure where you live, but here in Oklahoma we have what's called a Boys and Girls club. There the kids can stay after school and do all kinds of fun stuff. You might check with your child's school they might know where you can get that kind of info. Hope this helps.

Boys and Girls Clubs, go to the national website to find a local club. Im biased as I previously worked there, and really think they have great programs and offer great opportunities and learning for youth.

My children's elementary school has an on-site after school program. Perhaps there is one at your child's school as well. Whatever arrangement you choose you should investigate both the environment and the providers thoroughly.

You can call the school district, or see if there's a boys and girls club for him. I put my 3 in one and it only cost 10.00 for each. They after school until 6 pm.
