Well, I'll give you a case of mine. I lie about my own age at times too. However, in order to avoid that, I give people the age of my mental ability. It is a far more accurate form of telling whether a person is mature or not. My mental ability age is 37 but my actual age is only 13... I used to lie that I was 18 but I guess there's not a reason to anymore.

As for girls, the reason why they lie about their age at times is because they hate the fact that they are growing old and may get wrinkles in a few years time. That is subjective to the person answering the question so I can't say that I am totally correct. Well, my classmate's aunt is already 48 but she still looks like a young lady at about 20. You won't believe how much I laughed when my classmate told me that 9 guys had asked her out but fled when they knew of her actual age!
