unplug the fan connector and using jumper wires to power and ground, see if the fan works. if the relay and fuse are good, most likely the motor is bad. the coolant sensor does not control the fan. the pcm controls the fan while watching a/c high side pressure, coolant temperature, and trans temp.

Test for power at the fan when truck is warmed up and should be kicking on---if power is there, you probably have a bad fan motor or bad ground. If no power, it might be that the temp switch is bad that controls what temp the fan comes on at. Might want to get a service manual to diagnose the power circuit for the fan---Eautorepair.net has online access to factory service manuals for a small fee....parts stores carry Chilton or Haynes manuals also. Best to get a wiring schematic for the circuit as well. You could just wire in a dash switch to turn on the fan manually if you want to cut corners.

If you have a single electric fan try turning the a/c on if the fan comes on its not the fan. however electric fans do go out. replacing it is pretty simple. Most vehicles have only 4 bolts that hold it in place. some only have 2 at the top and clips on the bottom. If at all possible it is NOT a good idea to try and modify your vehicle and replace it with a manual fan.
