I can relate to your frustration. Ask a question of Christians and you'd think you'd receive a answer founded in the love of God and Jesus, instead a lot of times you get pure venom spewed at you. Ask a question for the atheists and you'd think you'd receive an intelligent logical answer, instead many times you get pure nonsense and sarcasm. It's counter-productive.

What you typed :
"I think people are just trying to vent. I asked a question, I was just curious, and it is amazing how people will twist what you're trying to ask just so they can tell you how stupid you are. anybody else having this problem? I've been with yahoo! answers since Sept.2. and Religion & Spirituality is usually where I go, not any more. I'm a Christian tired of the nonsence. All I see is alot of non-believers that will let you know that they are, through every sarcastic, rude, unintellegent answer they can think of. Thank you to the non-believers that did answer me with respect and for the believers that knew what they were talking about."
What I read :
"I get kicked in the teeth here with common sense and logic every day, and I can't take any more of it. I'm taking my Bible and going home."
Adios, muchacho. More chicks for me.

The apostle John gave this suggestion to his fellow Christians: “liked ones, don't have self assurance each inspired expression, yet try the inspired expressions [purely as you may try water for purity] to work out whether or no longer they originate with God, because of the fact many fake prophets have long previous forth into the international.” (a million John 4:a million;) * actual wing under is quoting a verse from the KJV bible that has been proved to be spurious. In different words extra to the textual content textile. In his Theological Investigations, reputed Catholic student Karl Rahner states that “in St. John’s First Epistle ? ???? [“the God”] so generally surely ability the daddy that it may well be understood of the daddy throughout the time of the Epistle.” additionally, the French Protestant Bible du Centenaire concedes in a footnote that the Greek permits a non-Trinitarian translation. by the style, it won't be forgotten that, probable interior the fourth century C.E., an overzealous Trinitarian Latin scribe extra to a million John 5:7 the words “the daddy, the information and the holy spirit; and those 3 are one.” This addition, conventional technically because of the fact the “Johannine Comma,” became secure by way of the Vatican until eventually 1927, even with the actuality that even some Catholic pupils had raised doubts approximately its authenticity as early because of the fact the 6th century. This cheating insertion exhibits the lengths to which Trinitarians will circulate of their efforts to tutor their doctrine. .... Wing- The Apostle suggested "try the inspired expressions "... make a private attempt to try this.

You shouldn't expect more from this forum than is possible.
You asked a question of a huge variety of people, in a nearly anonomous forum. You are going to get all sorts of answers. You either have to sort through them and shake off the bad ones or stop trying.
If you are asking these questions in an effort to cause some epiphany in several people and compel them to choose to follow Christ then perhaps your motive needs adjusting.
Spread the good news, but expect to get a few stones thrown at you in the process.

Why do you ask a question about a question without providing a link? Are you simply letting off steam or do you expect people to make intelligent comments without knowing what your question refers to?
Non believers are a part of the community on R&S. This is a question and answer site, not a preaching site for any exclusive religious group. If you don't like that, go elsewhere. Seriously. Read the Community Guidelines. This is not, repeat not, a preaching site.
If, however, you want to ask questions open to answers, and put out ideas in the full knowledge people might disagree with you, then you're in the right place.

Sorry I wasn't around to answer your question. I only looked at the first answer, but I'm guessing the other 31 negative ones were a variation on that theme.
I personally agree with you. Something had to initiate the whole process, and I choose to call that something God. Nobody can prove it one way or the other.
I think this is how most scientists who aren't atheists believe as well. You might check out "The Language of God" by Francis Collins, the head of the Human Genome Project. It was a thought-provoking read on this subject.

Awwww, don't leave! You just have to ignore the non-believers and listen to the others. Yes, I get frustrated too, when people answer a question and are rude and call you names, but i keep asking and answering any way. I love R & S and will always be here.

I've just started and I know how you feel when I read a lot of the answers others are giving to the ones I answer. But really, what can we expect in this world? :) and afterall, what's in the heart is what will come out. Right?
I think we as Christians should be as unashamed as the rest to state what we believe. It's just important that we do so with a good attitude - the spirit of Christ reflecting from our lives.
Blessings friend. I hope you can be used to touch the lives of others.

I am not aware of the question you asked, but quitting this site is not the thing to do. You feel you were being disrespected. Next time that happens, think of what Jesus went through. What if he quit!! Hang in there my friend, be strong and you will grow as a believer!!

Maybe that happened because the question you asked about evolution was not honest.
The main question seemed to accept evolution but asked why people ruled out that God could be responsible for it.
But then in details, you revealed that you reject the whole idea of evolution.
I think you inadvertently answered your own question - if you really understand evolution you have to rule out any guiding force in it except at the most distant level. The idea of a guiding force is antithetical to what is known about the randomness of genetic mutation and the selective pressure imposed by competition for survival.
If you look at God as orchestrating the basic conditions that exist or the changes in climate and geographical changes that caused isolation of subspecies then it is temping to suggest that is a possibility. But geophysicists will likely object to that saying that there are known mechanisms for the random changes in those factors too with no room for a guiding hand in those processes.
So you can propose a role for God in all of this, but it would be up to you to show me where it came to play.
In answer to your current question, if you are looking for honest answers you have to ask honest questions.

The rude answers come from all sides. You are not special.
By the way, I didn't see any rude answers to that question. You're acting like giving a disagreeing answer is being rude. How shallow your mind must be if you cannot accept even the smallest bit of criticism to one of your ideas.
